Take equal parts R&B, soul, rock, and folk, add a dash of Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, and Screaming Jay Hawkins, shake vigorously, and pour. That's The Mumlers. They lope, they shuffle, they bounce, they skip, they drip, they stumble, they shine. SInger/guitarist/song-writer Will Sprott is a long-time SLAP Pal and was Jerry Hsu's best buddy growing up as skaters. The band has their second album on Galaxia (home to Tommy Guerrero, Ray Barbee and many more excellent sound makers) out now and his getting a lot of worth-while attention, so we invited Jerry to interview old friend Will. Be sure to check out some of their new sounds as well as a video made by the Tiltmode Army's Jesse Erickson!
