We're saddened to say goodbye to east coast legend Matt Reason, who passed away yesterday, reports suggesting from complications related to pneumonia. Along with other pros like Ricky Oyola and Sergei Trudnowski, Matt rose to prominence in the Philadelphia scene, helping to garner national interest in the city and the east coast in general, and establishing the raw, gritty style it's known for. He retired around 2000, in part due to health issues. When watching Matt's footage from the early-mid 90s, his power and finesse make clear his influence upon modern skateboarding. Please enjoy these parts as we bid goodbye and offer our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
