Chicago is the best. There are spots for days. Over time, a few pros have called this place home, but for the most part, not as many people have made it from here. There are tons of dedicated skaters, young and old, who could care less about what's going on in California. The people here just wanna skate and have a good time. It takes dedication to keep skating in this city. The summers are brutally hot, and the winters are brutally cold. Not only do we have a giant downtown, we have miles and miles of neighborhoods full of spots. All you need is a few homies, and you can make a session. Just pick a direction, or a neighborhood, and just go.   -Stu Jacobs

Nathan Porter, originally from the Chicago area, agreed to meet up and head out around the city to shoot some photos. After meeting at Uprise we cruised around the streets and hit this spot behind a liquor store. He was the only one to mess with the thigh high metal barrier and reeled in this tall 50-50.

We rolled to a local park in order to meet up with the rest of the group and Stu told me about Navarre’s Back 360s. On the first attempt he nearly landed but rolled his ankle a bit and said he was over it. He came back to me a few minutes later ready to go again and rolled away not to long after. Navarre Brown, 15, back 360.

Definitely pulling in the MVP for my time in Chicago was Kevin. Every spot we hit he went for it. The last spot we hit on the first night and most took a look and decided it was a little too much. First he dropped in on top and avoided the bulge on the bottom. Second attempt he jumped on top and road away and the homies exploded. Kevin Kuczkowski 50-50.
