trying something weird.. well not.. so much
Open 8.3 CK spec.. jessup
Prizefighter 53 butterflys. swiss.
ROYAL IV!!! 5.5.. with bones medium.. they feel good. the casting on them is amazing. but it looks like wheel bite might be an issue.. verse the theeve's Tiax i have been on. love trying new shit though.
I just ordered the theeve tiax 5.25 to replace my forged indys and I'm wondering, how do you like your theeves in comparison to royals and indy
i like the theeves over indys.. though i have to set the theeves up sorta weird.. i use no washers.. and bones medium in the back. and bones softs in the front. then they turn really good. and not much, if any wheel bite (the king pin nut flush to the top of the king pin). turning wise the theeve are fast where to me indy's feel slugish.
as for the royals. i haven't saked them enough to feel i can have much of an opinion. the Royal Fours look really well made. i feel my pop is/was quicker and snappier with them.. (?).. they turn good. (used bone mediums, no bottom washers).. but if you lean to hard.. wheel bite. but the turn is quick. the grind was really smooth and fast. and as i said. cause i thought it was weird. tricks seemed snappier. but maybe they are a bit lower? then the theeve's? dunno. oh another plus on the theeves is they make a true 8.25" axle. the royals are a 8.5 inch axle. same with indy. the 149s are 8.5" axles. indy doesn't make a true 8.25 truck

Well I got the theeves to get a quicker turn than indy with less wheelbite, but also I don't want as sharp a turn as ace because it felt a little squirelly skating stairs with em - hope it works out

The sticker on the shrink wrap when I bought it said 8.06. Just looked at their catalog and it says 8. I don't know which it actually is, but 6/100ths of an inch isn't enough for me to feel a difference.
