so i was skating the plaza in vancouver tonight, i recognized a dylan reider board that someone had posted in this thread, and asked them if they were a fellow slapper. sure enough it was bumpnrun. what a world we live in.

haha.  Small world.  Great meeting you.  pile rips for sure.

likewise to you bump, i'm glad you saw the humor in it as well, nice skating with ya. taking a break tonight but i'll be there saturday and sunday night as well if you're not too busy being a mad scientist!

I don't skate often on weekends and this week is a total write off.  packing and moving.

Yes.?  It looked like this, which wasn't really bad...just wasn't feeling it.

Could U give me some advice on spray painting boards? Anytime I do it it's a total mess and all the paint gets clumped up and makes the board feel weird. (Might be mental though).

how far do you hold the can away from the deck? If you're too close its going to go on too thick and too heavy. Hold it about a foot away and give it a dusting. It takes longer but it looks better and you can get a nice fade look.

It feels exactly like a popsicle deck. The concave is perfect

One of these days I need to invest in a digital camera.

Flood Kontrol Son of a Ditch deck(8.5 X 32), Indy 149's, Sma Landing gear wheels (95a, 56mm), Bones Reds, Mini Logo clear grip. My gripping skills are pretty meh, so I thought I'd wig out at Kinkos with some old Thrashers. I'm pretty happy with the results.

What's the size feel like on that welcome? I think I read that it's an 8.5 but sometimes those shaped boards feel more like 8-8.25 depending on how they taper from the front bolts to the tail.

The jackalope skates smaller for sure. From the front truckbolts to the middle it's 8.5 but over the back truck bolts it's an 8.
14 3/8 wheelbase and 31 3/4 long. PS stix wood and welcome is awesome, highly advise checking them out. Skater owned by an awesome guy and team is made up of solid dudes who skate for fun, no shitty egos.

Not to steal HATE!'s thunder, but here is the Polar P2. It's symmetrical-and very square, A lot like the board Matt Rodriguez skates... sorry the pics aren't better. The concave is not as flat as a Girl/Choc, more of a mild to moderate concave. Solid wood, but a little heavier.

I have some 1/8 in. risers on the cruiser, I guess I could get wheelbite, but the Bones bushings seem to prevent that for whatever magical reason.  It really is a straight up cruiser though, as popping with wheels that are somewhere in the 70s in terms of durometer is retarded.

The Palace deck isn't super flat, it's my first so I can't compare it.  It has less concave than my Magenta I was on before though and just a little bit more than the Polar I have on deck.  I should mention though that the Polar I have is a P2 shape, so it's a bit different than regular boards.  I was gonna go skate, but I have to get ready for a barbecue we're having tomorrow and I'm working at a tattoo shop today.  I'm skating it on Sunday for sure though, weather permitting.  I'll let y'all know.

Same with my last 6 Anti Hero Decks...they have basically 0 concave compared to a Real or Krooked.

I find you have to work your front foot alot more to make the board do what you want, but it's preferable at this point.
