Not to steal HATE!'s thunder, but here is the Polar P2. It's symmetrical-and very square, A lot like the board Matt Rodriguez skates... sorry the pics aren't better. The concave is not as flat as a Girl/Choc, more of a mild to moderate concave. Solid wood, but a little heavier.
Man, no worries about stealing thunder! Support those dudes and tell people about it! I'm excited to skate that shape!
that shape is whacky, don't think i could skate that.

It does look weird when I look down while I'm skating. It's pretty functional though, great for nollies. The picture is a little distorted, it's not as fat in the middle as it looks. Square tails are good for tail slides too...

I really like this shape. I've always been in love with big ass noses. I just really like the way noses like that look when I'm riding it and I'm looking down and certain tricks such as nollies and crooks just feel way better. I'm feeling the square tail too.

Krooked has a Gonz board that is shaped this way, my homie strictly searches them out and gets them. Any time I play around on it its pretty fun, super good for nose and tail slides... kind of weird for heel flips but all in all it isn't too hard to get used it.

I have some 1/8 in. risers on the cruiser, I guess I could get wheelbite, but the Bones bushings seem to prevent that for whatever magical reason.? It really is a straight up cruiser though, as popping with wheels that are somewhere in the 70s in terms of durometer is retarded.
The Palace deck isn't super flat, it's my first so I can't compare it.? It has less concave than my Magenta I was on before though and just a little bit more than the Polar I have on deck.? I should mention though that the Polar I have is a P2 shape, so it's a bit different than regular boards.? I was gonna go skate, but I have to get ready for a barbecue we're having tomorrow and I'm working at a tattoo shop today.? I'm skating it on Sunday for sure though, weather permitting.? I'll let y'all know.
thanks! just ordered some oj's and risers cause no shops around here had the ones i wanted. also, i am so jealous of that polar, that shape looks like so much fun! i might try to find one of those p2s in the smaller size once my workshop is done.

Upon first seeing "I've been riding the Polar P2 shape" I thought that Pontus had hooked up some spring loaded pop skateboard technology.

They are part of their ABX concept line... I dig them they are pretty hard, but still have some give to them. I've had them set up for like a year now and they are still going. They have like a red tint to them right now because I rode on a painted ramp.

But don't they have choices with different concaves? I had tried my friend's Polar once, it did not feel flat at all. And I'm used to skating REALs.

I thought that Jake board was an 8.5?
I just bought an Enjoi 8.25x32.9. I'm afraid I'm going to love it and not be able to skate anything shorter. I can't skate anything under 32 anymore.

Im 6 foot 5 so it was a huge game changer. I reAlly hope they keep a Jake board in the catalogue with 33 as the length. Not sure i can go back.

I'm haven't been happy with a board's length/wheelbase since roger stopped using PS stix. They had an 8.5 shape that was well over 33 inches with like a 7 inch tail. I had about ten of them. I think being tall demands something longer
A long flat tail is where its at but nobody makes one longer than 6.5 inches. Is it for the same reason that phone companies make a new phone every 6 months with new features? You're just supposed to buy more boards?
