My verdict: they are awesome. Like them much much better than my old spits. I think I finally kicked the fire.
also...the joy of new swiss bearings. haven't had a fresh pair of these puppies in a looong time. Thanks again Jake Johnson.

Huzzah. Those but 99a's. Back truck is through the axle, trying to decide between Ace/Thunder/Thieve.

Theeves seem hit or miss. I've had my Ace trucks for 2 years and they're great, but only buy them if you like loose trucks.

Just set up some 52 mm spitfire streetburners for the first time and I didn't like them at all. I skated on asphalt today.
What do you guys think of them?

impulse buy. decided to bump up to a bigger set up and got new trucks and board (went from 8 to 8.38)..
How is this working out for you?
I'm contemplating the same bump up, but I've skated 8 for so long I feel like 8.38 will be huge and awkward.
i still haven't fucking skated because i've been working like a bitch. i will update this weekend..
stepping on it it feels like a boat compared to my 8, but i've been wanting to try a bigger set up so i'm looking forward to it

theeves are a very controlled ride (reminds me some of thunders turning / response) . uber boring. aces are the looses trucks out there. the turn is to sharp and fast.. and are a pure blast to skate on. IMO. plus people think you crazy when you trucks just wobble on their own. yet you don't get wheel bite.. I'm glad i tried a lot of trucks in the past couple years so now i know ace's are the best. for how i like to skate.

They're terrible. I'm skating a set and they've coned out pretty quick. And I suck. Bones and Pig seem to be best, for me anyway.

I just finished skating some spitfires and they were fucking garbage. I won't buy them again. I just got some Prize Fighter Cutlery wheels in the mail, hopefully they will be really good.

what do you mean by controlled exactly? more resistance when turning or just stability in general?

I have a pair of Theeves.
I think he just means they're stable when you need them to be. IMO, that's exactly what you want in a truck. Why would I want a truck that feels all loosey-goosey, even when I'm just trying to push or set-up for a trick.
FWIW, I love my Tiax. I have had two pairs and I bought my friend a pair of CSX. All three sets have been great, and I constantly recommend that people try theeve trucks.

PLAZA boards 8.25 (It's a small Italian company based in Salerno, near Napoli. Made in Canada and screen printed by hand. I asked for one with simple wood grain background) The owner of the small company also have a distribution and brings Magenta, Perus, Antiz, 5Boro and some other nice and small brands.
Ace 44 with bones hard and risers
Spitfire street burner 54 (starting to get really yellow after a week)
Bones Reds
