I bought this one yesterday. Going to set it up after work. The nose was super pointy but then I was looking at a Stereo board with a huge round nose and I thought that the Polar shape might be more fun when I get used to looking down at it.
Also I found no info on the forums on who presses these boards, and just now I stumbled upon this site that claims they are made by Excel woodshop, which I gather is China?

the board in the link doesn't appear to have a pointy nose, looks like a great shape.

It's hard to see in the photos, but to me the shape was really different from every other board in the shop.
It kind of gradually transitions to a point, kind of like a mini punk point shape, if that makes any sense. Ok, it's still a normal shaped board but compared to other boards, side to side, it's different.

Just pulled the trigger on an 8.375 polar deck and prize fighter wheels (not to mention I just bought new indys earlier this week)
I'm pretty excited
I'll post a picture when I get everything together

Broken in hards are like brand news mediums. I have hards on bottom and mediums on top and it's perfect.
been thinking about trying this soon. Bones mediums are great for the first week or two but then the more you skate them the softer they get; after the first week or two of skating they get a bit too loose for me. I just want that true medium feel that they have when you skate them right out of the box without having to tighten them more and more every other week.

I got the p3 shape for a cruiser with hard wheels I set up a few days ago. Here is that if someone wants to compare to the p2 or something.
Polar p3:
can't wait to try this oddly shaped thing.

Cool setup. I haven't seen/heard the name Mark Heintzman in ages. That dude ripped. I had one of his G&S boards (maybe with the same or similar graphics) and I think it had a similar shape.

8.125 Real Low Pro
5.25 Venture Hi
Some Element wheels I got free for doing some tricks (they are surprisingly good)
Kotson Ones (Pretty good but not worth full price, will propably stick with g-codes)
Didn't realize until I setup today, but the whole thing's purple.
Ended up getting ventures instead of Indys because of a discount. Will buy Indys next time.

I loved that Aultz deck so much. Hands down my favorite Low-pro graphic yet. I bought two when it came out, one for the wall and one for the feet.

How do those low-pros skate? Better than regular decks?

They're super good, like really good. They stay poppy for a really long while. Shape is great for flip-tricks, and the wood just feels splendid. I suggest you try 'em, I'm on my 13th one.

It is either the same exact shape and size as the G&S board or really close. I had a few of the G&S models because it was a big deal that he was from Ohio. The owner of Assault and Mark where room mates in the early 90's and still good friends.
The board is a lot of fun, it is a lot easier to ollie then I thought it would be and it brings back good memories.

The outer space graphic was too sick, plus it's 8.1 which is my favorite size. Used to for the first time today, was not disappointed.

I'd say they're just a solid deck. It won't change your game, (then again I've started landing hardflips in games of skate) but it feels nice, you feel a lil more snug if that makes sense. If you like REAL decks this won't disappoint.
