A Place To Bury Strangers are rad!! Kinda got a bit of a Joy Division thing going on.
My homie from Toronto is friends with these guys. We went to their show in Boston a couple years ago, then got baked with them in the van afterward. They fucking killed it and they're all really nice dudes. Made me an instant fan.

Absolutely. He told me he walked up to them after the concert and gave them a USB-stick with visualisations for their show he just made for fun. They liked it and since then he's done some artwork for them, at least that's what he told me...

those dudes are rad as fuck. they have a venue in NYC called Death By Audio that they live at. I guess the main dude funded the band during their early years by making boutique analog guitar pedals. hope to catch them live some day

I saw them at coachella in '09 and they were loud and rambunctious as fuck. The main dude smashed his guitar mid-song during a noise freakout jam thing then plugged another one in and went back into the song. Not usually into the whole "smashing all our instruments for kicks" bit but I thought that was pretty funny. I believe the cure went on right after their set and I remember my ears were ringing the entire time.

idk if I've posted this before but this song and video are too good. We've all seen a good majority of the movies in this clip and Lupe really makes you think about their impact on society.
top comment:
Damn I think I got it... Lupe's point here is that the "Double Burger with Cheese" in a literal sense is something that we've been raised on, something seemingly normal to use culturally, all the while this is something that is killing us as we just eat it all up. Metaphorically, all the behavior and depictions we see in the media and motion pictures are the equivalent to Double Burgers socially. We eat it up, but really...it's killing us.

Nah, man, I didn't mean to sound condescending. I just have a very special place in my heart for them. They honestly changed how I listened to music. These are my favorite songs off those albums:
