Just picked up the new AV Native shoes for 30 bucks, working for Vans retail definitely has its perks.

you get half off, right?

I remember my friend got me 2 chukka lows for like $55

working at a Vans store was sick. Got everything half off and a free pair when you start. I still have a pair of Rowley Classics still in the box.

Has anyone skated Dustin's pro model the "Spawn"? Spots got some stocked, thinking about grabbing a pair.
they're really good. put super glue over strap thingo as it gets torn to shreds instead of laces.
Thanks, I was just thinking of cutting it off. Picking up the Ave natives and Trujillo's. I'm set for awhile haha.
keep em on, makes everything last much longer.  solid shoe, do they still make new models for it?  I'd pick up another pair.

Noted. I don't think so, which is a shame because all of his shoes I've purchased have been real nice.

never thought id say such a thing but i think my long-time favorite SB Dunks have been dethroned by the skytops as my favorite shoe of all time. note that these have already been heavily skated for about 3-4 weeks

I've heard some good things about that shoe, what's the best advantage of it over the Dunk? I've had tons of Dunks in all three heights.

i'd have to say the pointier toe is such a plus for flip tricks. obviously its not like a rounder toe is gonna hinder you, but it just feels better with the pointier toe. and you're not gonna rip through any stitching with the toe cap

you also have an indestructable side cage instead of an easily rippable swoosh on the side. they're going to look somewhat presentable much longer than any dunk would after a few weeks of skating.

not only is there that effective suprafoam insole with the heel gel, theres also an airbag built into the cupsole itself for even more impact support

plus there's a very clever stash pouch behind the tongue as well as the ever so useful bucket handle

just a few points i can think off off the top of my head

Dopeness.

I'm sure they would hold up so well if you had gotten a pair with TUF instead of suede, too.

Just picked up the new AV Native shoes for 30 bucks, working for Vans retail definitely has its perks.

fuck i wish we had a vans store in canada. i believe that the distro up here for them has some issues, never seem to be able to find a good pair in an actual skate shop.

There distribution suffered pretty bad up here when it switched from Sports Odessy to Vans Canada. Very similar to when DNA went to Burton and all of a sudden you couldnt find a workshop board in this country.

I've heard that Vans Canada is absolute bullshit to deal with. Don't know the truth of it, but my local shop has such a hard time with them they've considered dropping Vans altogether in the past. Something to say for the only shop in this city with an account for their "core" line.

Can't you try them on?

Supras fit pretty true to size. If I had to, I would only go a half size down, not a full size.

Here's what they look like after about 3-4 weeks. The upper toe area is starting to smoothen out but as you can see its not that noticeable. Gimme a few more weeks and I'll give yall the final verdict on the grip as I'm assuming that'll blow out before the actual upper. As far as its grippy-ness, its solid.

Also just a note if you're looking for some good prices on these go to 6pm.com. I got both these pairs on sale on seperate occasions with the black/red ones going for around $70 & the black/white ones at $83. Free shipping as well.

I also agree with the notion that Supra's usually fit true to size, for those wondering.

Those Tres are amazing. The white ones were the greatest shoes I've ever had til the airbag popped.

I've been switching between

and

mostly. Skating Alvarez XLK Manchesters, so good.
