Earlier in the year I was at the park skating when I overheard this 10-11 year old kid asking "whether he should get a Deathwish or a Mike Mo Girl deck" to his other little friend. I came up, interrupted them and said "nah man, what you need to do is get a Bacon deck!", then skated away as he looked at me in confusion. I had only said that cause I knew the local shop had just gotten a small order of them in. The next day I saw the very same kid with a brand new Bacon board set up, hah.

As for me, never had one, but I've tried out one that a friend has had and the shape seemed really weird. Super steep nose. I wouldn't mind trying one out though.

this is actually my second bacon deck, the first i had about 3 years ago, and i hated the shape, (but it was also on sale...so i thought id get over it) this new one looks pretty good. nose and tail are almost the same size, and ones not steeper than the other. and not to steep and kind of flat down middle. I set it up, but wont be able to ride it til thursday...

if he would ever even get close to this pair of socks i am wearing right now after a heated session, he would worry about a lot of things, but not about his style on a sock.

6 months ago I started to read books again. had 2 books flying around here forever, that I recently finished - both written in english. on saturday I took myself 10 minutes and grabbed these in the english section of the bookshop. kinda decided for myself that I will improve my language skills a little bit more. took the hemmingway because it's a classic, the murakami because his writing is easy to understand and the other one because it has something to do with bicycles, haha

Good choices Matze.  Hemingway is great for people whose first language isn't English (and everyone else) because his writing is very straight forward.  The Old Man and the Sea is one of my favorite short stories.  You should read The Short Happy Life of Francis Macomber.  It is my absolute favorite story of Hemingway's.  Check out Steinbeck too if you want to read some more American short stories.  Tortilla Flat and The Snake are two of my favorites.
