24mm/2.8 AI nikkor...going a little wider.  slowly assembling my nikkor collection, would like to add the pre-AI 85mm 1.8 and a decent fisheye if i ever break the shackles of minimum wage.

Has anyone ever wondered why on film posters the names of the actors are never in the same order as the actors themselves. It seems like a rule or something...

it's because even before they design posters or whatever they sign contracts on which actor gets "top billing"..  so, no matter what the poster looks like, the names have to go in a certain order from left to right, contractually.  or top to bottom.  the same thing happens in credit sequences.  but they also do that for advertising deals etc..

it is lame and confusing when you have a poster and the wrong names are above their heads

Gambled on a horse last week and won some money. Ended up buying yet another pair of Dylan mid's and contemplating purchasing this today:

I own two tents - one is a shitty Coleman 4 person, the other is a Eureka 1 person. Thinking dropping winnings on something that I wouldn't normally afford is a good idea.

Congrats on the horse winnings!  I don't know shit about betting on horses, but it's the only gambling I've ever won big on.  I'm in the market for a good tent too.  I want two- one for my wife and I to go camping with and one tiny one that I can take on a motorcycle mission.

My Eureka tent is awesome. I think it's called the Solitaire? If you and the wife are looking for a 3-4 man'er, then look at that brand (Apex 3 tent). They make some decent gear, lightweight and lower on the price scale.

I found the key to winning on horses - don't even fucking try. Just find a girl that bets on cute names and follow her lead. You'll get a payout. Not huge, but it worked out every time last week. You can make some serious money playing the exacta box, but you can lose money quickly that way too.

Horse tracks themselves are pretty weird. I was wearing a flannel shirt, rubbing elbows with a group of dudes in seersucker suits and chicks with parasols. Bought a few of them some drinks and they gave me a winning ticket at the end. For the most part, the friendliest gambling arena I've ever been in.

Actually when I won at the ponies, both times it was because I let a girl pick, one picked based off the name and the other picked because "it was the only one that wasn't brown."  Worked like a charm.

I dig the track, it's got the nice people in the seersucker and then it's got dudes who are just burning their savings.  It's always interesting to watch though.

Thanks for the tip on the tents!
