Had to put my Dog down of 13 years. Definitely one of the hardest things ever.
He had a tumor and the surgery to removed it cost about $1000 & putting him down only costs $600.
My Mom was in the room with me at the Vet, she wouldn't stop crying & on top of that, insisted on holding the dog while they gave him the shot...Major Bummer.
damn dude that is bogus, i'm sorry.
for future notice tho you can take them to just about any shelter and they'll do the deed for free.

So a girl I've been talking to, came into my store to visit me and yadda yadda. Well she wasn't wearing makeup so it caught me completely off guard and it felt like this scene
Is she the one that looks like a witch?
unfortunately.

Thanks brotha.
I definitely would've done that for sure if my mom hadn't insisted on keeping the dog's ashes.
She's gonna get him back in a box & have his photo on it.
I would post his photo but I don't want to make this thread anymore depressing than it already is.
He was a cute motherfucker.

Im having some sort of skate-related crisis in my life right now.
I pretty much skate with myself now, most of my friends are in fucked situations where they don't really skate anymore, or they quit/ are on the verge of quitting, and there is no real crew anymore. Im still having so much fun with it but I miss that point of skating that I use to have. Skating is truly the best when you are around your homies. I barely skate though due to knee problems though (I skate everyday but at most for like 3 to 4 hours instead of the 9 or 10 I used to be out). Also, when I am done with skating, nothing seems to hold my interest long enough for me to feel anything but pure boredom, except for watching old skate videos. The only thing holding me over right now is watching basketball and drinking everyday. Nothing is going right, right now.
This is nothing though compared to most of the things here, RippedLaces, sorry for your dog man.

I'm not stoked on how my back is feeling right now, burning the midnight oil.

Thanks GarglesCmen, much appreciated.
I'm actually going through that same problem. I've always been okay with skating alone until recently.
I've always skated alone because I've been through the whole
"skating with the homies"
gig and unfortunately for me, it's always ended up in disappointment & back stabbing. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not that
"invested"
in other people to the point that I get pissed if someone doesn't call me. I'm not that
guy
/psycho. I'm completely capable of understanding that people forget &/or sometimes just don't want to skate with you & I'm fine with that. It's just that recently, I've been subjected to skating with young teens who are influenced by everything of today's skateboarding & know nothing about the old school. & their point of view sucks cock.
No, I don't want to play another game of skate with you & no I don't want to go kick it at the skate park with you. I want to hit the streets & find some shit. I grew up in NY & when I was younger, I literally could skate for 5-8 hours a day because I would just kick from spot to spot with some homies who were down to do the same shit. As people get older, some grow out of skateboarding, others move & others become addicted to another lifestyle that'll just get you nowhere. To say the least, I can't get together with my old homies for one last go. Some are probably in jail or have some type of fucked drug problem.
Now, I'm older & have my own place with my wife. I still live in NY but now I live in a place reminiscent of NJ where I need to get in my car in order to get something to drink from a deli or to skate a spot. Everything kinda blows but that's why I've been getting into other shit so when I do skate, it's always new regardless if friends are there or not.
I've been running a lot lately, going to the gym. Not looking to get bulked up, just looking to spend my time some other way. I bike a shit ton now. I'm working on RL's constantly which has somewhat cured my problem of not skating with other people even though technically I'm still skating. Because I'm concentrated on a shoe, it's features & what to write about it, I'm not all caught up on friends because I have work to do. I guess all you can do is keep yourself busy.

Samesies here man. Pretty much go to the park everyday by myself for 1-2 hours, then maybe find a street spot nearby. Then go back to my dorm and watch skate videos.

The other day I decided to draw a horse eating a waffle on a gold colored sheet of paper. I got up extra early for the task. I drew the waffle first, and then started on the horse. However, when I drew the horse's head, I messed up - it looked more like a pig's head, and was too far away from the waffle. So I decided to erase the head, but the eraser was worn out and didn't do a very good job.
Because the eraser was so ineffective, I had to press it very hard against the paper to get it to work. Eventually, the eraser wore down so much that it didn't protrude from the metal casing holding it. The metal part scraped against the paper and ripped a huge hole in the drawing.
Now not only do I have to draw the horse and the waffle again, but I have to do it on a normal sheet of paper since I used up my last sheet of gold paper.

Basically sick weather and no one to skate with..
I used to have literally no time to skate in the last few months due to university, skated like 6 times in 6 months. Now I'm on break so I have plenty of time but damn..got some of my tricks back, but skating alone on saturday is a bummer, so I'm home doing nothing.
I feel you on this, no one is really hyped on skating here anymore or have other hobbies..shit sucks

Ive got so much mucus in my head. My throat is sore and my nose is stuffy and i havent eaten anything recently. My stomach feels cold on the inside, like I'm hungry but anything i think of eating sounds terrible. And this cough is killing me.
And my mother found out she has breast cancer. None of my family even told me and I found out about it through her status on facebook..Not sure if i should be mad about that.

I have had some pain in my knee on/off for the last couple of months and finally went to the doctor this week. Turns out I have Jumpers knee, and apparently all I can do, is some exercises and try not to use the knee too much. Has anybody here experienced anything similar, and what did they do about it? I have been googling it and stuff, but advice on skateboard-related injuries is always best to hear from other skateboarders.
