grim/twitch doesn't need multiple accounts, he can just adjust the amount of gnar/kooks he can dish out, then turn it back when hes done gnarring or kooking someone....he is/was the admin afterall.

to some degree i understand why he had 2 accounts but why he had both admin and mod accts is kind of strange?
it would be one thing if he had a admin/mod account for when he had to regulate, then another regular member acct. just to hang with the rest of us, that would make sense to me but playing both admin and mod is a bit much, even if its a skate messageboard. 


in any case, i never had a problem with twitch nor grim, nor anyone else on this site.

i read this whole thread and i still find it hard to give a shit about anything anyone said about this "crisis". the boards are shaped by all of us, one dude has never been able to fuck it up. except alexactly that one time, but you just had to change your forum view to SMF...anyways grim was legit, i liked him before he was a moderator (if i remember correctly he hasnt always been a mod), and i still like him, hes funny, a genuinly nice dude that you can PM and always get a well thought response and represents himself and his hometown in a vere positive but humble way.  i think hes an admirable dude, and maybe i'd jack him off, i dont know.  i never even paid attention to anything twitch said anyways, i thought he was just there in case i couldnt log in, like schmitty or something, not a "pal".
and also, i thought i spent too much time on here, some of you are mentioning chat rooms and shit, how deep do you guys go?

I could have sworn someone made this connection awhile ago but I'm probably wrong. I guess I'm with Gub though and don't see the big deal. It's one thing if accounts were getting deleted but I don't think that's the case. If he (Grim/Twitch) was using one account to gnar the other or whatever I think the embarrassment of that is punishment enough. It would make sense that Slap would want a admin that had knowledge of the boards so to give one of us that power and then hide the identity isn't that surprising to me.

Some of you seem confused, so I'ma repeat what twitch/grim said in his post.

Him having two accounts was for the sole reason that a company who wishes to make money from advertising, CAN'T have anyone who could be seen as representing the company (i.e. Twitch/any other administrator) expressing opinions which may contradict the goals of the parties who advertise through said company.

Here's an example:

Plan B pays SLAP to put up a banner with one of their adverts. Twitch posts in a thread hating on Sheckler. Sheckler is a property of Plan B, and Twitch is member of the SLAP company. Ergo, SLAP is now responsible for any damaging material to Plan B Twitch may have posted. This is a pretty weak example, but you get the idea. A more realistic one would be what Twitch/Grim already mentioned with him posting the World Without Pros thing.

This is a legal issue. Do you guys really give Grim so little credit as to think he was just being petty, running around with two accounts so he could kook/gnar people two fold? The point was to be able to post anonymously under a different name unrelated to the company, so he could still participate and share his opinions without hurting SLAP.

Have you guys ever seen an infomercial, and before it starts it states a disclaimer saying "XYZ Channel does not share the opinions expressed in this advertisement..."? It's the same thing. It's a legal thing.
Hopefully the dude can keep his job, and just never be allowed to post here again...

And for the record, I agree with you scoot that it's bullshit. He shouldn't have to hide behind multiple screen names just so he can express himself, but this is how the world works. It's fucked up, but it is what it is.
