After having it in my dvd collection for about 6 years still in the wrapping I just watched "La Haine". French gnar film about small time hooligans. Way better than i thought, should have watched it ages ago

Here's hoping that Moneyball saves me from the bad taste the stupid Thing remake left in my mouth.
Moneyball was tight and you're mistaken of you think The Thing(2011) is a remake. It is a prequel and the last scene of the movie leads into the first scene of the Kurt Russell one, which makes it obvious that it is a prequel.

can anyone help me out? I need to see 'le corbeau' (1943) by tomorrow morning for a film class. I assumed it would be on Hulu plus considering they profess to have "the complete criterion collection," but alas those bastards have ruined my night. I suck at the internet, so I'd be much obliged if someone found a working link that doesn't require me downloading anything additional. I don't have the patience for torrents.

It's based on the comic books: "a death in the family" and "under the hood", and it was actually really good, anyone else saw it?

Re: Drive
I loved it. I didn't take it too seriously. It just oozed style, and I ate it up every scene. I thought the opening scene was so fucking badass, I was hooked no matter what happened. I still think Bronson is better, but Drive is probably more accessible for a lot of people. The world felt
Tarantino-esque
, without being a ripoff like the endless list that followed Pulp Fiction.
Not to make a big deal out of this or anything but Drive is literally nothing like anything Tarantino has ever made. I don't see why people always say this. Do you guys not watch that many movies or something? Nothing in that movie even vaguely resembles a Tarantino film.

Went to the movies and I obviously picked this one after reading some good reviews. I wasn't disappointed in the least and I'm thrilled 2 more of these will follow in the future

went to a screening of this film RE-GENERATION tonight that was pretty good. documentary about dj's. i'm not even into any of that kind of music, but i really enjoyed the doc. interesting film about the creative process, and an interesting project
all the dj's were there for a QandA after. pretty cool. not sure when it's getting released or what

Love and other Catastrophes.

I saw it in college in 1997. Cute movie to watch with a date/mate. Pretty hard to find in the US since it's only been released here as VHS and it's not a very popular title.

Now that I look, I'm surprised The Skin I Live In didn't get an Oscar nod. Watched that one the other day, quite enjoyed it despite the typical Spanish melodrama.
