whilst we're still waiting for an ART subforum, and the awkwardness of posting photos in the ART thread, i decided after a long 5 minute deliberation that it was necessary to create a photography thread.
and before you say this should be in photos/video, i would disagree- it's not necessarily about skating.

here's my flickr account

i also have a web but i don't update it very often. and i'm kinda iffy on the quality.

and a few neg scans

post yours.

I have been incredibly lazy with taking pictures lately.  I saw some large format stuff today (probably not actually large format, but still) and decided I need to get back on top of things and start printing some stuff.

Sickness, loop! I hope this thread gets really long... I hope Sebastian puts up some work, too.

Anyway, since I tweaked my knee a few weeks ago, I've been spending a large portion of my usual skate time to snap pics with a point-n-shoot around my yard:

Apple Boobs:

Caterpillar:

Frog:

Neighbor cat on the prowl:

See through-ish lizard:

A plant in my yard that makes wax-tasting mini oranges:

Owl:

A squirrel that was really pissed at me being there:

Rolly Polly (they all look like trilobites to me):

This turtle moved into our yard after Hurricane Katrina, and he's stayed with us ever since:

Thorns:

There's a lizard in this pic:

Rather than double my post count by quoting everything I like, I'll just say that this is in my top three favorite threads. Everything's just fucking awesome so far.

I don't have an online portfolio or anything. The best I have is my old flickr. I have not put anything new on that for probably nearing a year.

Hai guyz, I need help.

I've been shooting at night, because the colors and long exposures make the picture look cool enough that it covers up for the fact that I can't think of anything worth taking a picture of for the life of me lately.

Anyway, I am running into what I think is digital kickback:

This is digital kickback, right?  If so, do you have any advice on how to avoid that at night / in long exposures?
