Might head to NYC mid August if my dad is still able to bring us there.

otherwise you could try going by car or train or something. i dont know about your dad, but i think a car would be faster. also, it has a roof if its raining.
I live in L.A so a plane is our plan. But around that time, how's the weather? I wanna get a little skating in, maybe meet up with some NYC Slap pals.

August here is usually nice, hot, with a chance of thunderstorms.

I had forgotten that our monthly in-office happy hour is today until opened the freezer for an ice-cube and found it fully packed with beers.

Fixed up my great grandmothers old boombox. I want to take it out and skate with it, but i'm afraid I might break it.

over the past 3 weeks, while i was on vacation back east and stuff
I got my groove back.
I saw a bunch of awesome shows, drank with friends a lot, skitched all over town, Skated some crusty shit, sold some boards I made, have a new one coming out for the shop soon, went on a proper date with a girl, went to 4 different beaches, got gowd-out on percs for my flight out and back, did some hard manual labor for 3 days straight clearing a yard of an amazing property in Maine that a friend just bought (I say friend, but its actually the girl of my dreams), have a date next weekend with this other cool girl to take a little art tour of some galleries back here in vegas that she's done some stuff for, and the shows are skateboard related. It also felt really good to be away from heavy internet use for an extended period of time (I only went on maybe 4 times over a 18 day period, and even then, very briefly)

The only bummers are how hot it is back here in the desert, and how sore i am from the trip
but remaining indoors with central-air for a couple of days while i get everything back into alignment post-trip outta take care of that just fine.

went apartment hunting today since my lease is up at the end of September. Found a way nicer place than where I live now that is in a way better part of town and is a bit closer to where I work, I'll be saving about $75 a month on bills, and since I got the application and everything taken care of today, I got the deposit for the place waived so that saves me a shit load of money. I just had to pay a $100 holding fee on it, and everything is taken care of so I will get the keys to the new place at the end of September. I'm pretty fucking stoked on this. Also I started eating fish again after being vegan for 4 and a half years and it's making me feel better and more energetic.

edit: this just arrived in my mailbox.

I finally installed a new faucet on my bathroom. I haven't done any kind of handyman work like that in a while so that felt pretty good.

I put a new shower head in. Not the same thing at all, but I'm stoked on that massage setting.

Bought a cheap xxl blank black hoodie for my tall ass, so nice to have clothing that falls below your waist when you're super tall, will be putting on a patch sometime this week, spitfire or thrasher guys? Ordered a new board that will arrive this week, and my future stoke will be cruising to this when my board arrives:
