no defiantly not, they had so much cap room this season, i still think they are way under the cap floor, although they overpaid for Stoll BIG TIME, and they lost cammelerri, now they only have kopitar and maybe frolov to produce

k the pools been made, theres gonna be 14 max teams, obviously one per poster, so far there were i think 6 us

anyways this is a Yahoo Sports Fantasy pool, its free and I think worrying about collecting money and sending it around and whatnot would get to complicated so this pool is for fun!

For the guys joining you will need to create some stuff, a Yahoo email address, sucks i know but whatever.

Im attaching a direct link to the pool, click this link and then follow the directions on registering, team name etc, its all pretty straight forward.


Now this is important. POINTS, in the past with other pools we've had G's, A's, +/-, Powerplay points, shorthanded points, goalie wins and shutouts

This is a rough draft of how it will work and it can change this if no ones down for it

Goals - 1 point
Assists - 1 point
+/-  : .5 points (hopefully you all know how this works)
powerplay points: .5
shorthanded points - 2
goalie wins - 2
goalie shutouts - 2

So, for anyone confused, say your player gets a regular, even strength goal, you get the goal (1) and the (.5) for the plus, same thing goes for Powerplay points, if your player gets a point they get (1) + (.5) for a powerplay point

the one thing i realize now in looking at the pool is that shorthanded points are worth too much this would mean that you get 3 points if your player gets a short handed goal or assist, im gonna change that


I am OPEN to suggestions about points scoring, its easy to change we can vote on it if theres any real problems, however, ive used this in the past and its worked really well

Gonchar got injured agaisnt toronto today, pre season injuries are probably the worst thing ever

T.O lost tonight. didnt start playing till like the 3rd period fuckers. and i think gonchar was injured before the game but not sure.

bahaha i heard on sports center i think it was someone was out cause there foot got stuck inbetween the gas peddle and the brake of a golf cart or somethibg along those lines. how does that happen

When I got NHL09 today i opened the case in the car and there was no game in it, and it was totally wrapped. luckly i had my mom to help make them believe me.

yea that was D eric johnson from the St Louis blues, now they're even more fucked than they were before.

Im so bummed the Canucks didnt sign anyone sufficient for scoring. Not to mention Edmonton and Calgary both got fucking stacked, well Edmonton did for sure, im so surprised we beat them twice

Rangers lost to the devils last night. played a decent game, still pre season nonsense, so hopefully they'll get their act together. they have basically a new team this year so well see how well they mesh together.

it's just preseason though....edmonton's powerplay is going to be nuts this year....i can't really see how the canucks will make the playoffs.....i'm secretly hoping they tank.....ownership  leaves....and we start all over.....
