I have listened to this album like hundred times now. And I'm not even kidding. I just can't get bored with it. Everytime there's something new in it. Simply amazing.

So, it's been two months since the release. how's merriweather sitting with everyone? Still love the album as a whole, not my favorite of theirs though. At first I didn’t like the lack of shouting/yelling, but after reading avey's reason why it makes sense. He felt the album didn’t need it, but they still add stuff when they play live. Personally no more runnin is moving up on my list of favorite songs from the album.

Read several recent interviews and I'm liking what im hearing. Talks of possible deakin return for next album, possibility of going back to more organic instruments, and they like whiskey.

Hmm what else, oh yea, live archive of stuff…not sure if its been posted before http://www.bansheebeat.com/ac.html. download panda bear at the bowery ballroom (6/18/07). In the first track he sings 'guys eyes' over what I think is an atlas sound song. Fucking amazing. Its labeled as 'untitled' and its in the middle of the track. That’s why live sets are a treat because you could be hearing future versions of songs and you don’t even know it! gah I've been finding so much rare shit its awesome. not sure if this link has been posted before too, but: http://www.brrrptzzapthesubject.com/?p=196

i'm sure it's a metaphore for something deeper but the lyrics to my girls seems like perfect theme music for my life right now

There isn't much, that I feel I need
the solid soul and the blood I bleed
with a little girl and by my spouse
I only want a proper house

I don't care for fancy things
or to take part in vicious race
and children cry for the man who has
A real good heart and a father's grace

I don't mean to seem like I care about
material things like social stats
I just want four walls and adobe slabs for my girls

usually, the lyrics have a deeper meaning. i think my girls is pretty straight forward though, so stoke away.

anybody going to the show in oxford, ms on june 6th? it's the only one that's close and not dallas (i hate dallas) and a large group from my town is going.

this album's not my favorite, but it's damn good. i've decided that daily routine is the best song in the universe. didn't really feel it at first, but after getting high and learning it on a sampler/synth, i have a whole new respect for it.

seems like hearing it on a system where you can hear the bass makes a huge difference also, at least for me it did.

yea for sure, its meant to be played loud. when its played on a good system you hear so many more parts/noises in the background that you didn't notice at first. For me at least, one of the best things about AC songs are discovering new parts and melodies.

also, prospect hummer ep is one of my favorites for sure.
