i watched a story on espn about chris paul the other day, got all teary eyed and shit..a couple days after he had signed to play for wake forest, his grandfather was murdered outside of his own house. the game after the funeral, paul vowed to score 61 points, the age of his grandfather when he passed. he got fouled while shooting and got the and1 giving him 61. he then airballed the free throw and they subbed him out.

i got mad love for cp3.

Went to every Wake Forest home game. The kid is absolutely amazing.

Well my team manager and life long Raptors fan and I often talk about them, unfortunately I have to remind him on Jan. 22nd of 2006 Kobe dropped a cool 81 on the raps so be carful what you wish for, with JO TO looks pretty good!

Back to the Lakes beating up on Baron and the Clips......

Hahahahaha I miss the days of Starks/Ewing/Oakley/Mason/Rivers/Anthony/Davis etc.

I lived on the eastcoast for like a year and 1/2 in Mass, during 6th and 7th grade, and I have an aunt and uncle who live up in NYC, and my uncle got tickets to a Knicks 2nd round playoff game against the Pacers, it was the game where Reggie Miller scored 12 points in like 10secs at the end of the game, if any of you guys remember that shit. He kept stealling the ball of the inbound and bombing three's. The last one Anthony Mason was just like, "I dare you to try that shit again bitch!" Spike Lee was there too, going fucking nuts. I have some memorabilia somewhere from the game, a chant written on some towel to sing/chant at halftime, and I got Walt Fraiser to sign it, and the next night at Madison Square Garden the Beastie Boys were playing. Shit I love the east coast, yo!

No, but now that you mention him, I was actually more fond of him when he and Horace were playing GOAT-like D on this...

Dear New York Knicks,

I ask that you please refrain from blowing it this season.  I know that change can be scary, but I'm ready to work through this whenever you are.

Yours Truly,
Corby Tender

P.S.: Tell Isaiah to stop being such a weirdo...and that he still owes me money from last week.

totally backing this trade. chauncy has gotten stale and maybe if anything this will opens up some cap space next year so they can stop prematurely ejaculating in the conference finals

Wow, Denver's GM must be an idiot. No diss to Chauncy and Antonio in particular, but seriously, who trades for a 32 year old and a 34 year old?

No Pop knows they need to take it easy before the trade (plus all those active players with rings do too). Early '09 it'll change or if there's new sweat besides Mason.

after thinking this through today, if this trade helped anyone, its the detroit pistons. the trade doesn't bump denver into that elite group of teams in the west, at best they'll squeeze into that last spot in the playoff race. iverson's in the last year of his contract so he'll have something to prove. however, i'm sure coaches in the eastern conf are licking their chops to throw shooting guards on him and make him play defense (which he has none of) or run pick and rolls all day on him. detroit is trying to make cap space for a big trade in the next 2 years, maybe chris bosh, dwayne wade, hell, dumars might be saving up cause he thinks he's got half of a chance at the biggest free agent in 2010, lebron james??

Looks kinda shaky guys, you think the vets will hold up against the youth?

They need to trade some doods for some fresh legs, but that's generally not a move Pop seems to make.

Lakers did their thing tonight.

i just got back from a $1 beer spot at a sushi place in diamond bar.

no better way to end the night with the Lakers takin' the Clippers. AGAIN.

Baron Davis was jammin on fools though.

and whats up with Thomas and those unecessary 3's?!

Lebron is huge! Or possibly DelNegro's Bulls are tiny. Vinny needs to grow back the beard to get his team fired up. Wallace is the new Rodman.
