for me, this was a no-brainer -- take the money.  until i realized that norman wells has an airstrip...   ive been pondering the question all day, and have decided that i would have the car brought in on the first barge next spring, enjoy driving it around town and up and down the airstrip until around july, when the ground starts freezing up again, and then get it out on the last barge, to be sold on the used car market.
