i never want skateboarding to die but with all this shit going around like shecklers selling out being a douch mainstream bullshit what will be the ultimate demise of skateboarding. its sad to think about but my guess is if it ever got into the olympics there should be no event there where in between runs other people smoke cigarettes and talk shit

It was way more mainstream in the 1970's. Pepsi had a traveling skateboard team, skate teams wore uniforms etc... skating isn't going to die unless we let it. As long as a place like Skatopia exists skateboarding will be alright.

Skatopia was in Rolling Stone a few months back. That's a sign of bad things to come (recall shirtless Dyrdek or Pissdrunx article).
