2 close friends of mine have done it 2 years running now. They usually made like 200 a week, plus tips at the end which if you do well with the kids and they really like you, odds are the parents will tip VERY well from what i understand. i guess it comes down to how well you deal with kids, especially how much patience you have with lame ones. both dudes are the coolest dudes, and say 2 weeks will all you will be able to handle, but the pros faaaaar outweigh the cons. you get to skate there for free, and hear some funny shit, and get paid to do so. i was also really really considering it for maybe a week.

there are various jobs you can do, and each job gets you paid around 80 bucks a week. you can be a counselor in a cabin an have to deal with annoying kids, and be an instructor, each of which gets you paid 80 bucks a week or something. plus you get paid for other little jobs, and tips from kids and parents. you could also be an OSI instead of an instructor which means you sit around at a park and watch over it. instead of being a cabin counselor you can live in the loft and not have to watch little kids, but you dont get paid the extra money.

If you work there as a counselor try to stay out of 'the ghetto' if you can (but I'm pretty sure you get assigned to a cabin and are stuck with it). The ghetto consists for three buildings, each with 4 adjacent cabins and one bathroom. Not only do the bathrooms get fucked up daily, but some kids have cabin wars which can get pretty intense like kids pissing on kids from another cabins stuff.

you can't work for less than 3 weeks.
i used to drive 7 miles to the grocery store in town just so i could skate flatground without wearing pads and a helmet.
they're alright about "kneepants" and "elbowshirts," but you can't really wear long sleeves so you pretty much always gotta wear a helmet and elbow pads.
some of the shit is amazing, most notably the outdoor concrete and the miniramp at the playground. haven't been back since i worked there about 4 years ago, but the new outdoor street looks fuckin awesome.
pretty sure you get one week in the staff cabin (tight cuz you can skate later at night) and two with campers. some of the kids are awesome, some of them are turds.
i think i got banned because there were two stayover campers in my cabin on my last night and the new counselor moved it already...we had two kids and two counselors, so i went out skating...got chewed out around midnight and they recommended that i explain myself and apologize to the directors in the morning...so i woke up at 6:30 and just peaced out. a month of wack food and disgusting pads was a lot to deal with, but it's definitely worth doing at least once.
it's a shame that our country is so litigious and insurance obsessed...cuz skate camp could be the greatest thing on earth if you didn't have to wear protective gear and refrain from cursing and shit.

I work with kids in an academic setting but thank goodness I can go home and turn it off at 3.
To those of you who could handle kids 24-7 for three weeks I say God bless you.
