Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats, fuck they are good. Luke turned them on to me:

UNCLE ACID AND THE DEADBEATS - 13 Candles

I've been listening to Uncle Acid non stop. I posted a song of theirs in this thread or a different one... can't remember.

Been getting really into Goatsnake again. I got kinda bummed on the vocals for a while, but I'm coming back around.

And while were talking about Uncle Acid, I just heard this one for the first time. Pretty sure in six months they've forced their way torwards the top of my favorite bands of all time list.

Second pressing? I read the originals were going for "?700" on Discogs, and that sounds like a lot of american dollars.

Edit, I tried to copy and paste the "L" symbol before the 700... I think it's for pounds?

Two of my favoritest.

Oh and for the kid that was looking for some good speed/thrash for a skate video:

So stoked for the new Gaza. I wish they would have a pre-order so I could get it before I go to Europe.

just picked up this sonic prayer album on a whim after some discogs recommendation or something, and holy fuck does this shit shred.  more stoner metal but ive was won over by earthless just off the entry drum break alone.  and that uncle acid shit is so tight, im gonna have to keep an eye out the next time im digging for music in cambridge.  which will probably be on saturday.

Sick man. You might want to look up some of their other songs on YouTube just to be 100% sure. That song was a little more straightforward for Gaza. But you should not be disappointed anyways. They are super aggressive and kill it-especially live.

I'm excited for album releases this year. New Gaza will be out soon (sadly, no sign of a pre-order, so won't be able to get it until after i go to Europe), new Pig Destroyer supposedly by the end of the year, the last part of Blut Aus Nord's 777 trilogy is coming out in Sept. and they released the second part of their "Liber" project. After I order tickets to go see Pig Destoyer and Eyehategod (along with some other metal/hardcore bands) at Ieper Fest, I'm gonna place an order for "Liber II" and finally buy the digital version of False's album. I want to get more acclimated to them since I kind of want to see them when they come to Chicago in Sept. I'm waiting for Panopticon to release "Kentucky" on CD too.

Also going to order this once I have money:

Bird Eater- The Crying Witch (La Llorona) Small | Large

It's a side project of some of the guys in Gaza.

Pig destroyer and Eyehategod are both amazing live, if you haven't seen em before you won't be disappointed.
Just had a good run of gigs myself, Sleep, The Melvins and Sunn 0)))
Eyehategod are playing in a few weeks though its on my wedding anniversary so not sure if I'll be making it.

Missed this.  Yes, it was a 2nd pressing.

I was lucky enough to see Pig Destroyer open for EHG a couple years ago.

That must have been so sick. I'm super excited for it.

This weekend I went and picked up a pretty random post-punk/goth vinyl as a thank you gift for my MA adviser and bought both Twilight albums. I've only listened to the S/T album so far, but I liked it, so I'm excited to listen to "Monument To Time End." My awesome girlfriend bought me the "Liber II" vinyl I mentioned above as an early graduation gift, but I don't have a turntable, so it's just sitting on my mantel right now until it shows up on YouTube or I buy a turntable.

Yeah, as upset as I am about the date being moved back, at least I'll be able to pre-order it now.

I feel so special now. Like I'm part of a secret club that can't be contained by one social media site!

Did the Gaza pre-order finally! Also really liking my Twilight albums.

What do you guys think about this? I'm undecided still.

Also, trying to feel out these guys. It's pretty good symphonic black metal. All of their releases have high rankings according to the Archives. The video is pretty ridiculous though--as is to be expected with black metal music videos, I guess.

Can't really hear anything people have put up since the Internet in my hotels is really slow, but I just wanted to say that Nasum got added onto the schedule for that festival I'm going to on Saturday.  So I get to see Nasum, EYEHATEGOD, and Pig Destroyer all on the same day.

Yes. Yes it is. Took a few listens to really get into it, but I agree with this one review I read where the author said No Absolutes isn't their fastest album, but it is definitely their heaviest and bleakest. I'm listening to the digital copy I got with my pre-order, but I can't wait for the physical CD to read all of the lyrics.
