Have you guys ever heard of Pliny the Elder? There is a bunch of hype about it on the homebrewing forums I go on. People swear up and down it is one of the best beers ever. It's only available on the West Coast and people have all these crazy stories of the things they went through and how much they paid to get their hands on one.
it's really good, but i'm not sure i understand all the hype. their sour beers are much better IMO.

Currently drinking Stone's Arrogant Bastard Ale, it's good, but I'm not sure I understand what's so great about it.

i really want to try it, but yeah i'm skeptical.  when something has that much hype you have to wonder..

they opened a few kegs around town here a month ago or so and people were reportedly lining up when places opened in the afternoon, and were limited to one pint etc..

If any of you gentlemen are living in Dallas, TX, or plan on visiting, do yourself a favor and try the "Velvet Hammer"  (the stuff lives up to its name) by Petticolas brewing company...

It's made by some guy who just does it for fun. His friends liked it so much that they forced him to sell the beer to a few local bars. Also, Deep Ellum brewing company is kicking ass right now. I like their IPA. Again, none of this means anything unless you're living or visiting Dallas.

Is Budweiser the next hipster PBR, "Look at me, I drink working man's beer."?  I've seen a lot of people drinking them at bars lately, kinda weird.

I don't know...could be.  It's usually my go to when I'm not in a city.  Somebody called me an n word for drinking one a month or two ago.  That was kinda weird too.  If I'm in the city I usually drink PBR because it's the cheapest shit in Chicago.  I also like an occasional Guinness or Heineken if I'm switching it up.  I don't have much class when it comes to beers.

I think I just realized that, while I like many a good beer, my favorite is PBR with a shot of Jameson.

Yeah I like that one. It's just ugly enough the hipsters won't touch it.

PB&J! Go to Brady's in Santa Cruz. 2nd most jameson consuming bar(possibly first?) in california. It's a semi skate bar too. Down the street from NHS.

Hmmm, didn't know that, I thought Molson Coors was under AB Inbev and SAB Miller was separate. Now I know.
