I had that thing on my watch list and I missed the fucking auction. Did you win it? I remember it sold super cheap, like $28...

I'm going to try this when I get home to Pennsylvania.

I have a bunch of dead decks that I could breathe some life into.

looks like fun times.

BUT--anybody thinking of trying this- TAKE THE GRIPTAPE OFF BEFORE YOU CUT THE BOARD IF YOU DON'T ENJOY RUINING A BLADE EVERY TIME YOU MAKE A CUT...

and to aid in getting the griptape off, heat it up with a heat gun or hairdryer to soften/loosen the adhesive.

and for the love of god, get some kinda clamps/vise/something besides your friend to hold it steady for you. those kids are begging for a power tool mishap.

So I cut a new board out of an old one like I was planning.  I only cut the nose and tail so I could keep the concave (it also saved me some cutting). Then I did a bunch of sanding and painting.

Also, I cut through the grip without a problem, which saved me money on new grip.

Yeah I got them because I wanted wheels for my cruiser that looked like the sort of wheel Ed Templeton used to ride when he was on Spitfire circa Welcome to Hell. Great cruiser wheel soft but can still do tricks, no core and reversibile.

Can't deal with my "All Terrain Formula" Bones anymore.  They have negative traction even on slightly damp ground.  Anyone have any suggestions on rain wheels?
