From what i heard the dude threw a beer on cory first, and he retaliated. Then after breaking them up he got sucker punched by a different guy, story will probably have a ton of different versions. Cory is a nice guy, but didn't want to take someones shit.

Sucks for Cory and all but I dont get all this "why wasnt anyone having his back" stuff. It was a suckerpunch, what are people going to do, create a human shield around him secret service style?

Nah, in a sucker punch situation, you'd figure your friends would chase down and stomp the dude that did it instead of letting him get away like the dude that hit Cory did.

Having said that, if someone poured a beer over my head (and we were going into an event, not hanging out at a bonfire), I imagine I'd try to waylay the crap out of them too.

Hope Cory heals up quick, hate seeing a cat busted up like that... but either way, if he was sucker punched, hope the dude that did it gets a dose of karma biting his ass, if it was a stupid drunk fight, hope some lessons got learned. Either way, glad they caught the clot and that he's on his way to recovery. Sucks any way you look at it.
