Got paint on the curb and some sanded down bondo at the bottom, so this thing is pretty much good to go...I hope.

don't be afraid to rub brick that curb, then wax it. it will make it last a lot longer and will slide/ grind a hell of a lot better.

does anyone have experience building one of those cinderblock bank ledge things? I'm trying to wrap my head around how to build one, mainly the bank/grinding part.

stack a curb on top of cinder blocks, fill it with mortar. Let that all dry. Build a small wood frame at the angle you want. Put that next to the ledge and fill it with rubble then put good concrete on top of it all. Let it dry as long as you can stand before skating it. It'll be more solid. Hit the top with some spray lacquer and it'll slide great.

drain spot close to where I live. My friend and I just finished building the pole jam and ledge with a wallie at the end. Turned out pretty well.

all we did was glue a nice long parking block on a mellow bank using leftover PL Premium.  not too DIY but still more fun than anything else around recently.

Some of that shit looks great!

thanks, most of the stuff at the top was experimenting with found materials over 6 years ago.

That spot in the strip used to be dope.

i miss that spot so much, we had something great for those 4 years.

Fuckin hats off, zombiesoybot! So fucking good, man.

thank you.

This thing looks fucking rad, i love an interesting steep bank

thanks. its very steep and interesting to ride. its one of those objects where you have to commit to the trick or it pitches you to flat.

another new thing my friend made:

Those last two things look kind of weird and really hard to skate. They'd make for sick photos though.

That parking block on top of the really mellow bank is more of my style though, I could skate that for weeks.

Made this today! Bank to ledge/ledge to bank. It looks huge in the picture, but reaches about knee heigth.
EDIT: Since we had some extra cement left, we just added a little bump on the rigth side. For speed and fun.

Here's some Baltimore DIY. Been doing things here in random phases over the last 2 years, but most of the stuff is from the last 2-3 months.
A friend started the first quarterpipe for some sort of school project and its just grown since.

This QP was the start of the spot. The wood ramp in the background we took apart and used all of the pieces in different places. placed the QP from that in the very back to add some flow from the bottom up.
dave and elton

Added a roller/boob thing that goes from the top of the gap to the bottom, connects to the QP and building a little bank next to that to flow easier:

The BBQ. Almost everything at the spot:

Bank to bank over the gap and the start of a ledge:

And everyones favorite, the hipped bank:

The owners of the building apparently have seen everything and don't care about it too much. We've had a big BBQ, multiple 3am build/shred sessions and have never had any problems from anybody. If you're in Baltimore, go shred it!

It's called the bell foundry. Pretty close to the lyric, which every Baltimore skateboarder should know about. It's on the corner of E Federal Street and North Calvert Street. It is behind a locked gate and has a bunch of art/graffiti all over it and the building as well, so its pretty easy to spot. Unless people are skating already, you will probably need to hop the fence cuz that's how everyone who doesnt live in the building gets in anyway, but that is fine and shouldnt be a problem.
