I totally understand the deathwish thing.... then again, I skateboard, I've deployed a few times in the military to hostile environments, I've jumped out of perfectly fine aircrafts, and I've gone headfirst through a windshield, so maybe I just don't learn my lesson
Heh, my brother did two tours in Iraq, 101st Air Assault, combat ops and convoy security. He skates, too. He also wants a bike really bad.  Cheesy

I worked at the NY auto expo this spring which is basically all cars and trucks, but these were the only motorcycles there. I don't know much about motorcycles but I thought these looked crazy. I bet they cost a shit ton of money.

Got this bike a few months ago for free. I've been tinkering with it, hopefully it's closer to running.

this is my thang.
i have different exhaust on it now though.
its tucked away for the nebraska winter.
so much better than driving a car.

What up.

took the MSF motorcycle training class over the weekend (passed)  .  been searching bikes pretty hard lately, but waiting for the right one. either one of these would be up my alley though.  definitely dig the honda cb's .   going to look at a 350 this weekend

i love triumphs but don't want to spend that much coin at the time (6 to 8 grand)..     anyhoo..   i'll post my bike when i get it (which should be soon.  as soon as i take the friggin dmv test and find something)

Very cool!  I am missing my Bonnie right now, something fierce.  I am really playing with the idea of restoring an old Commando, but I wanna chop up an American bike with a homie when I get home too.  Total junkyard bike.

Are cafes getting more popular in the states?  Typically I only like British bikes but that BMW is dope.  We should start a PALS motorcycle gang.  Call it something like the Ton-Up PALS and our logo is a kitten with a huge weiner photoshopped on him riding an Ed Roth sthe style skateboard.  Kinda do him up like Rat Fink.  Oh shit!  To the sketchpad!

Yeah, I could see the cool kids liking them.  Fuck it, who cares!?  If I judged what I liked and disliked based off the cool kids, I wouldnt like old motorcycles, records or weird movies.

I took this bike through South America for some 10,000km over 4 months back when I was 18.

Check the sandstorm brewing in the background.

It was actually a 150cc, that battery cover plate is a replacement as is the gas tank; I got hit by another motorist from the side at like 100km/hr.

Terrifying shit, the gas tank exploded and I couldn't walk for like 4 days because I landed on my tailbone.

The other guy broke his shoulder blade and completely fucked up his face, fucking idiot.
I'm not fluent in Spanish either so I ended up getting most of the blame, being a gringo and all.
Corrupt fucking cops in small town Peru, they put me in a cell for the night until the guy who's hostel I was staying in came over with his Peruvian friend to get me out. It was right on the border with Ecuador and the only other person in there was a female drug mule who was like crying most of the time and then going ape shit at the cops any time they'd offer her food or water.

Anyway, crazy days. Fully worth it though.

^That thing is so clean.

For any of you guys who know a thing or two about bikes, what are my options if I'm just looking for a small displacement bike? I'm talking like, anywhere from 50cc toys to maybe 200cc. I think scooters have taken over that market these days, but I don't think they're as fun.

Check out Royal Enfields.  They're dope as fuck (they are about 350cc) and if you wanted to go the brand new route, they're still just a few thousand because their so little.
