never bothered with tre flips because whenever i tried them id just get a "varial double flip effect" but on saterday i started flicking my back foot ina weird way that i havnt tried before and now i get the perfect flip every time, only problem is i cant get my back foot on. hopefully ill finally have them soon, it seems like tre flip is the new kickflip

Im gonna take your advice because i also do some kind of varial double kickflip when i try 360 flips. I still cant do backside 180s, i think i have to get more comfortable in the switch position. How long does it usually take to learn how to push switch? i feel like mongo switch has lost its nostalgia.

i have possibly one of the worst regualr and fakie kickflips... i can tre, fs flip, variel(if that even maters) bigflip, etc. i just have a really bad rocket kickflip that i will never do down anything more than like a 4 stair... but yet i can sw flip/nollie flip very well... dont know what happened there just hard for me for some reason..

The trick too these like someone said before is think of clicking your heels together. Actually the way I learned them is by doing them fakie. Also remember that you have to slightly jump back when doing them which makes them kind of tricky.

The way I do it is by keeping my front foot flat whenever I scoop with my back foot.

I can't switch backtail big spin for some reason. I can 270 out and heelflip, but big spin is hard as hell.

Just push switch a lot. It's not that hard. I started skating switch maybe a year ago and now have a decent switch push. Though I have a stronger desire to push with my back foot than to push with the stronger foot. Switch pushing + turning is still harder but switch mongo + turning would be even more awkward for me.

learn switch bigspin on flat first, it should be easy, then.

I'm in the process of relearning everything.  I probably won't bother with flip tricks for a while, but I'm taking this chance to learn things I left out (I have a lot more patience for skating now than when I was younger).  Way earlier people were posting about switch wallrides.  I did a switch carve at china banks ages ago.  I admit it's nowhere near a proper switch wallride (not even the same ball park) and all my friends were drinking beer in the park by the time I landed it but I felt like I won the lottery when I did.

Switch carve at China banks is nothing to sneeze at - assuming you did it over the bench, that's actually sketchier than just doing a regular switch wallride. You go on & be proud...: )

Hardflips. Never learned them. Can do switch ones, nollie ones, but regular ones are the bane of my existence. Bummer since I always wanted them like Mike C.

i'm finding i have to re-learn nearly everything after skating on and off for the past 5 years and not at all for the last 2. for some reason tailslides and backside grinds on ledges have become difficult. i'm confident i'll get everything back, it's just frustrating right now. the one flip trick that always eluded me was frontside heelflips. i used to have them switch, but never even came close regular. they might have to be a new goal for this year.

I'm the same way. every once in a while I'll land a regular hardflip, but it's only when someone does it in skate.

my backside flips are so retarded.  I have had frontside flips down pretty well for years, but my backside flips are like varial flips that I turn my body with.  crop dusted and usually pivoted, and I almost always stop completely when I land them.

Switch/Nollie flips. I never dedicate enough tries to them. I try like four times then just go skate something other than flat.

I can do 'em, but a regular kickflip will never be my cup of tea.
