For Immediate Release

FAMOUS and DGK Collabo

Los Angeles, CA – August 20, 2006 – Famous Stars and Straps is proud to announce a collaboration with skate brand DGK.  The design crews of Famous and DGK have joined forces, creating a limited edition skate deck and T-shirt.  Only 300 skate decks and 300 T-shirts will be made available and only through the Famous website and a handful of select shops.

Founded in 1999, Famous Stars and Straps is the creation of drummer and entrepreneur Travis Barker.  Travis built a career from the ground up based on his own rules.  Travis refuses to be categorized, his passion for design, music and art from all genres (punk, hip-hop, jazz, rock, etc.) – this is the driving force behind Famous.  Refusing to be boxed in by rules and limited by labels, Famous is more than a brand; it's a family of like-minded individuals from all walks of life, including rappers, rockers, artists and athletes.

DGK launched in September 2005 in partnership with Reebok thanks to the vision of the one and only Stevie Williams.  Growing up on the streets of Philly skating at legendary LOVE Park, Stevie has always been one to do his own thing.  Nobody has style quite like Stevie Williams; this style defines DGK and sets the pace for all the rest.

Both self-made men, Travis and Stevie became friends on the streets of LA and soon realized that a collaboration between Famous and DGK simply had to happen.  Each brand with it's own distinctive flavor, together Famous and DGK are unstoppable.

The Famous and DGK collabo launches this September at ASR (Sept 8-10, 2006).  Come visit us at the Famous booth (#2505) and see what we've got cooking.

I wish Tom DeLonge would do an interview on the Colbert Report then jump up, pull of his emo wig, and Blink would come out and play a whole new set of wicked songs like they used to.

I can't wait to see what type of person will be riding those DGK/Famous boards!

Too bad Jereme rides for Girl...this collab seems tailor-made to suit him.
