very stoked for Arne Friedrich. He had a tough season with Hertha and now everything is looking good for him again.

Really is too bad about Muller missing the semis, can't believe how well he's playing for a relatively untried 20 year old.

God I hope Spain break Paraguay early or this is going to be the dullest match ever.

this is the worst refereed set of sporting events ive ever seen. cards on a handball are givin when its done with intention. ive seen 2 intentionals throughout the entire world cup, yet 1 -2 cards handed out for them per game. free kick? yes. yellow card and making this kid miss the simis? and worst case scenerio germany loses, making this his last world cup game? not even close.

EDIT -last game aside from 3rd and 4th place game, but still...

^ I have to agree. Germany is playing very unselfish ball and they look unstoppable.

España...they got through that game on the skin of their balls. I really hope they take the Cup.

So fucking pissed because I'm probably going to be on a plane when they face Germany on Weds.

For the first time in a very long time a lot of people are writing them off, hopefully it helps them elevate their game. They could really make things interesting with Germany. They played horrendously today though, I've been expecting it from Torres, but Xabi Alonso couldn't do anything right.

My dark horse, the country I back, and very likeable German and Dutch sides in the final 4? Couldn't have seen this coming.

Cardoza was called for offside by jumping for that ball that fell to Valdez, Alcaraz should have been sent off, Iker would have saved the rebate anyway.

I thought Paraguay's work rate and non-stop pressuring of the ball really caused problems for Spain, Torres definitely is nowhere near match fitness, and Alonso and Busquets have hit a rough patch. I've been waiting for Cesc to get a chance to prove himself out there, and he did well when he came on. Same goes for Pedro, who's still very much on form after the great yr he had with barca.

Del Bosque and coaching staff will have no sleep thinking up a plan to get past the "New Germany", because its quite clear Spain's style will play right into the German's counterattacking hands.

They definitely need to make changes. I'd love to see what Llorente could do up front in Torres' place, especially with Villa showing the other day how solid he can be playing wider left.

I hope Spain wins from Germany, but after seeing what they did to Argentina... Germany's fucking good, I hope we can see an exciting match.

Holland should defeat Uruguay, after getting this far, I think they deserve to finish the job and get into the finals

once agian germany will win the wc2010 ... there is not doubt about that one ... sure MÜLLER is banned from the next game ... but miro is on a mission ... he is like a young gerd müller, klinsmann and völler combined ... just imagine a final between germany and holland ... it would be the game of the game of the games ....

Odds are we'll be seeing a Germany - Netherlands final this weekend. Germany's been playing so well and Spain has really been struggling. Netherlands has been looking good and Uruguay barely got by last game. So that's what I think will happen.

However, I would love to see a Spain - Uruguay final with Uruguay taking it. Uruguay's been one of my picks from the start so I'd enjoy seeing them do well. Plus the whole underdog factor would be pretty cool to see.

Either way, there should be some goods matches this week.

The netherlands would have a big change against germany, because  van Bommel and Robben play in bayern munchen, they now how the germans play but also vica versa. Mathijsen and elia also play in germany.

Mark my words that if the final is netherlands - germany it won't be an easy one. For both.

HOLLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
