the french looked very dysfunctional, and i don't think its repairable. i still think they can make it out of that group along with the host nation though.

its now spain's time to win a world cup, they've been the most overrated team in the world for a very, very long time, but i think they'll be the most stable team in the back, and with the insane amount of talent they've got in the midfield, its hard for me to see anyone beating them.

anyone seen sporting English National Team gear in the US the next two days should be forced to show their papers, and if they are from the usa they shoulb be subsequently deported.  The World Cup and the olympics are the only times I excuse nationalistic bullshit, but ironically the world cup   seems to be the time when Americans are least nationalistic and root for where ever their great grandparents are from.  That being said I'm okay with anyone except Italy and Brazil winning, rooting for either of those two is worse than rooting for the lakers or yankees.
