Backed Spain for the Euros, might as well keep it going even though now I have to feel lame about it because they're favourites. There are a lot of teams I'd like to see do well though, so it should just be a good month of viewing.

Turns out my brother has some Dutch friends and I guess they're all going to South Africa. He has tickets for four matches I think, I'm incredibly jealous.

I'd like to see the U.S. get to at least the quarters.  I'm tipping Spain for the win, though who knows, maybe Messi can reproduce that Maradona '86 spirit.  Without the hand of god though.  I typically support the French, but I kind of want to see them tumble out of this tournament just to get rid of that miserable excuse for a coach known as Domeneche.

I don't know shit about football but I love following the World Cup and the Euros. I always back Denmark. I would really like to see an African team do really well like how Japan and Korea did last World Cup.

Yeah, it's going to be really hard to get past the group stage. I don't think our team is as good as 2006, Cahill is really the only thing we have going for us.

I wish Viduka was still playing Sad

im behind the US 99.9%. i think this is the best shot we've had in a while (Clint and Jose!!!). this world cup will be interesting. Argentina just seems all over the place. you hear more about Maradona than you do the squad (those comments yadayadayada)...Mascherano is the captain so ive heard, but what about Crespo? is he on the team? if so, he should be commanding the squad. Brazil is a contender (but Roni isnt selected, so im pretty bummed), England im not really feeling... they are stacked, but they never seem to pull the trigger, Germany is my pick actually (Miroslav, Bastien, Ballack, Lahm, Podolski, Mario, etc), France and Italy havent been too impressive leading up... (Henry handball is beat, and Italy seemed lazy in almost every game they played (go De Rossi!!)). i think the Netherlands look good, i would go with them as my 2nd choice... (Dirk, Huntelaar, Ryan Babel, Van der Vaart, Wes Sneijder, and Robben). Spain seems like the favorite. but Torres is out, Puyol has been slacking as of late... i just have massive doubts. Sergio Ramos houses, as well as Villa but i guess im hoping they get upset...

also, my friend told me that N. Korea is 1000:1 to win. i doubt this, but if true, i might just put $20 on them.

fully backing the United States as usual.  If they make an exit, I will pull for my next favorite team the almighty Dutch.  Haha i came from a soccer family and i remember my Grandpa yelling at the tv whenever Netherlands played.  He came from Arnhem after the end of World War II.

Anyone else notice that if Nigeria met Germany in the quarterfinals, it would read funny on the scoreboard?

I'm not sure if many of you know about the qualifier match between Ireland and France but alot of people here still have alot of resent for what happened:

Small | Large

Offside + a doube feel-up. (1:40 onwards for best view)

I'm rooting for Spain and Japan.
Spain because I've a lot of friends living here from Spain and the team has a had pretty bad luck in previous years.
Japan - they're just cool.

Have to root for my mom's country Brazil, but also for the U.S because it's home. That said Spain is going to win and if Ghana is in they could go far.

I know absolutely nothing about football, but I love watching the world/european cup and always root for Italy, Argentina and one other team that one of my friends recommends. This year, that's Ivory Coast. So GO Ivory Coast !

im always rooting for the underdogs like some african team but they never do good anyway so england is probably my number one favorite (although they never do good either). as long as it's someone else than brazil im not too upset.
