Walking Dead tv show anticipation thread

i was hoping for nearly everyone, but expected at least one main character to die, i figured that was the way the finale was shaping up, what with how fucking annoying and overdramatic every previously likable character has become. the best part was that hopefully rick is done with being mr good and starts losing his shit more and more. also the zombie fight scene was extremely boring and formulaic, there was no real sense of danger. also since when have all the zombies been spaced out so nicely, they used to walk in packs and now they each had 10 feet of space, which made it a lot less exciting than it could have been.

overall they are obviously going for something i dont get, because the show has definitely changed its feel from season 1 to 2, and its just getting worse. they should just say fuck it, kill almost everyone and start a new story with an almost all new crew who isn't full of bores and no interesting character development. plus the effects on the fire are so terrible it grabs your attention and takes you out of the show momentarily. this shit would be 1000 times better if it was on hbo.

So does this mean you'll be going back to watching glee and re runs of dr quinn medicine woman?

That's kind of the whole point, no? He's in the awkward position of having to deal with mortality and the whole world going to shit at a super young age so of course at times he's going to act jaded beyond his years, but he's a kid after all.

The actor is fucking awful though.

Well the show is pretty great, but it does contain some of the worst characters on a television show that I have ever seen.  Thank god they showed the prison because I was getting pissed off at everybody whining about Rick.

They want a safe place to move into and while the prison IS safe, it's very big, has a lot of people and even if they're NOT zombies, they're still criminals.  Sometimes people don't like sharing their space either.

I think anything more would be giving too much away.  It's a killer part of the storyline though and some of the best characters come out of there.

Basically they find an "abandoned" prison and section off some for themselves, rarely venturing to peep the rest of it.

Im pretty bummed the show is missing so many characters from the comics, or what the writers chose to omit/change.

From reading the comics, maybe im not far enough in, but so far I am not as enthralled with the Governor as everyone seems to be. Guys an absolute savage, ruthless, no real likeable traits unless you like rape and cheering for the bad guy.

Oh man, he gets so much worse. I'm actually stoked that you're about to go through his part... after it my mind was blown. I agree with what Hate said a page or two back... there's no way they'll be able to get away with the level of brutality you're about to enjoy on AMC.

Also, the Michonne screen grab posted needs to be available in a poster size. I don't know if the upcoming episodes will get her character right or not, but that one scene fuckin' nailed it.

did it for no real reason, just thought the armless jawless walkers on leashes were really cool so just converted that into a sorta sexy fashion styled shoot. And it's always fun to get girls mostly naked for a shoot, i figure people who get the refrence would be stoked and people who don't could at least appreciate a semi original fashion shoot.

So far i have been satisfied with both season. Season 2 midway became shitty but it redeemed itself towards mid way to the ending. anyone here read the graphic novel? i just ordered the first box series off amazon cause i dont wanna wait til season 3. i also hear the tv series is slightly different than the graphic novel?

Yeah, there's a lot that's different... let's say the show follows the general story the comics do, but the comics have a lot more character development (you actually give a shit about them), there are characters that are missing, some that aren't in it at all, a number of situations in the show aren't in the books, and a shit ton is in the comic that isn't in the show. As with most cases, the books are a lot better... you don't get bummed on any of the issues the same way one would get bummed on an episode for sure.

Read the fuck out of the compendium when you get it... I doubt you'll want to put it down. Also, it won't make you be any less of a fan of the show, but it'll make you wish you could see some of the scenes from the books done on TV.
