no disrespect to last years guys, but unless this new crop turns out to be really inconsistent or chokes under pressure, theyre going to fucking annihilate the final 5 weekend in SF.
this seems like the kind of skateboarding that can be taken anywhere and made successful.
psyched to see the rest.

The only fair comparison would be the week in SF. I can't remember the last years finalists' entries, but I bet they killed it harder than during their SF stay...

yeh i noticed that crouch-pop action but his shit was clean as hell so thats no biggie - dude has a sick and solid style. and obviously not afraid to throw down the gnar. a couple more lines would have been nice to see - those one hitters just get old after awhile

I live in California. Its not about hating the state. Its about the fact that this contest is really about giving unknowns a chance in the spotlight. The fact is, if you live in the hub of skate coverage you can do it the traditional way if you are good enough and know how to interact with human beings like a fellow human being. The thing that is cool about this contest is everybody has seen that random dude in some random place who fucking kills it, and would blow up if given half the chance, but he happens to live in a place like say, West Virginia, and doesn't really have that chance.
