"If you're feeling sinister" is just a line from the song.
"Boy with the Arab strap" is only slightly more complicated. An arab strap is a sexual contraption, which is used to keep the man erect longer. So there you are.

Han solo blew up the Death Star in Episode 4. Heard it from a friend. Reliable source.

Sleep The Clock Around and Big John Shaft are two of their songs that I really like and haven't been mentioned yet.

The Boy With the Arab Strap
Electronic Renaissance

i don't see how anyone could read any farther into it than a boy with an arab strap. i guess if you don't know what an arab strap is, then it could be confusing. i think the line is "she was laid on her back with the boy with the arab strap".
However, I will say that Mary Jo is the best song they've ever written...in my humble opinion

a) arab strap is a haircut
b) arab strap is also a band in the same circle as b & s

i have loved belle for a very long time, all of there albums are very good, their singles are also amazing (love on the march, your covers blown) its dumb to say their new album isnt as good as there other albums, its a little different, which is good because who wants 7 albums of the EXACT same thing. all of their albums are amazing

If I never downloaded a couple of their songs, I would never have bought their entire back catalog or fallen in love with Camera Obscura.

best album is definately between 'tigermilk' and 'sinister'. all of their other albums don't come close to these two.

I must see them live. I read on their website that a new album can be expected. All their albums are great but Dear Catastrophe Waitress is my fave.

Tigermilk is their only LP I ride for.
Most of their other records are ruined for me by the female vocals.
