man..everyone's got these things....it's like the next chain wallet...
shoelace belts are not a hipster phenomenon. they've been around a while.

The first Blind jeans had a lace belt included and that was 1992 or 1993.

yep.

the belts with the metal buckle (usually with something on it) and are made of webbing. they don't have holes and you tighten them by pulling them through the buckle.

Yes and XXXXL T shirt. They do have "heshside" jeans with Burnside photos on the back pockets with a PBR logo on it! The would be perfect for you.

i remember blind jeans being a total knock off of the girbaud's with the loop near the button to put your belt through....

with the shoelace...hey..maybe it is functional but why is everyone showing them off?  it's not like i'm pulling up everyone's shirts and saying..'oh..you got a shoelace!"  dudes are showing them off....and then coyly claiming....'oh..i lost my belt..' please dude...

I've noticed in photo sequences of skaters who are rocking lace belts that they look real like G-strings, where the lace is still hugging the hip yet the jeans have sagged down. Not a good look!

My sister is a high maintance fashion queen type with the expensive handbags and designer everything and she was rocking the ties as belts a while back. I thought it was a chic thing.

I've been wearing a shoelace belt since I was 15 and I'm about to be 21.  I had web belts before that, and this spring a now-ex-girlfriend convinced me to buy a leather belt at H&M for $8.  It's good when it's appropriate (rarely).

I just like the way it looks, and it's light-weight. I have really long hips/legs so the wide leather belts completely constrict my hip joint 'cause I wear saggy pants.

I've had two of these shoelace belts since 2001.  Maybe 3, actually.

Who cares?  Me.  and you.

I think I like posting here because I don't have to think about anything.  I just get a question presented to me and then I respond.  I don't have to come up with anything to do.
