I can't tell how thick the side-wall of those shoes are, but leather tends to be stronger than suede in most cases.

leather is usually stronger and skates like suede once you get through the glossy layer. but the abrasion makes it look like shit alot more than on suede shoes

Sick.  I'm skating the all black CTS right now.  Really like them.  I saw one of those Tactic videos stating that the soles are grippier now.  Although mine feel pretty grippy.  Good shoe.
