I am talking mostly about the faux stitching on the toe cap, my fault for not being really clear. I was not referring the toe cap it self, that has been around for ages.

I think it looks weird to try to mimic the stitching of a two-piece toecap. I've grown rather fond of the clean, minimalist design of the one-piece toecap.
