i never got the huf hype. yeah, the shirts are tight, but all i see in the shoes is the same thing every other company is doing, but with an H on the side. really, an H? what the

Then you just dont get it. Get a pair of HUFs and try quoting yourself on that afterwards. And also... This shoe if any isnt "what every company is doing", look at more pictures of it. Its called 1984, its pretty weird but awesome.

"they got good vulcs, and cater to the cupsole people", hardly revolutionary, plenty of brands do this. "cant deny there visually appealing", while they're visually appealing to some, nothing I have seen is particularly noticeable beyond any other prominent brand. They have pretty much the same designs as the other major brands, with minor changes, they have a model that looks exactly like a Half Cab/Hsu model. Nothing is really special. Their minimalist design in pint ads and commercials is eye catching to some, but nothing to truly separate them from any other company. The whole SF vibe is something to latch onto for some, aka their target market, so if you're diggin it, right on I guess. I just don't see what they put out as something to be recognized above the other top brands, it isn't anything special, just the same game different name.

Consumer don't want weird, They want simple functional designs and colorways. Maybe a few people would step to something more revolutionary, but to sell shoes at a high enough volume to be profitable and have market share it's best to take the proven styles and rework them for your brand.

Companies like Axion are attempting to buck that trend and having no traction with it. It's easy to hypothesize on how to make shoes, much harder to do it successfully.

I have to see those to pass judgement. Kind of odd since all those panals are just stitching. Kind of wish it was like an actualy Air Max but I guess that wouldn't make sense for skating.

Seamless toe caps, so hot right now.

Nice shoe, would get them for chillin' in, since they are vulc.
Seamless toe caps have been huge for the last few years.

seems more and more now..

Koston 1, PR 6, Gillette pro. Sure i am missing a few on the list

Yeah you are. Like the Chukka Low from 2008, the Reynolds 3 from 2005, or Vans Era from 1970-something. C'mon son. Sneakerhead my ass.

I was talking about the faux toe stitching, not the toe cap itself. Look back a page or two where i explained myself, hello.

My B, I have an involuntary mental filtration on most posters so I skipped a bunch.

What does that have to do withe the quality of the products?

If anything, a smaller skater owned company is going to have inferior materials because they lack the funding necessary to construct the goodies.

I was speaking in general terms.

I have little knowledge of HUF shoes, but I believe the point I made is valid and it likely applies to that company as well.

Good shoes are good shoes. Why did that superfruit have to add that they came from a skater owned company like it contributes anything to the quality of the kicks?

This looks good, I first I thought the Lucas model looked really odd with that toecap. I think it's grown on me.
