Atleast Huf is skater owned.

At very least.

I think they're dope.

What does that have to do withe the quality of the products?

If anything, a smaller skater owned company is going to have inferior materials because they lack the funding necessary to construct the goodies.

but from what everyone's been sayin that isnt really the case now is it?  or maybe everyone is just riding suave keith's dick.

this.

This statement isn't as true as it use to be. We recently reviewed the Fallen Seventy Six and were surprised at its durability.

Not a big fan of the Koston/AirMax love child. I like the Air Max 90s, I like the Kostons, but never the twain should meet.

they are basic ass shoes, for basic ass people, i dont need to skate them to know they are decent at best. There is no way some tiny company like huf can have anywhere near as durable shoes as nike. you guys sure seem to be buying into the hype though

This statement isn't as true as it use to be. We recently reviewed the Fallen Seventy Six and were surprised at its durability.

Also, big companies have a tendency to lower quality when their stuff starts getting popular. Like when Nike bought Converse and moved production overseas, the quality went down a lot. Not even subjective either like the quality of the materials, Chuck Taylors now have less layers of Canvas and a thinner sole then they used to.

Levi's has done that as well with most of their jeans.

From what I've heard on here, Dickies work pants have gotten worse as well.

Not saying this always happens, but it's not uncommon.

Let's keep it real though.

Converse shoes were never known for their durability or quality to begin with.

+Nike and Adidas arguably make the best shoes in all sports, and they are the most popular shoe brands out there.

Nike and Adidas have the best and most well-financed marketing teams.

Not saying they make bad stuff; it's really quality most of the time. However, dollar-for-dollar, and even straight comparisons, many smaller companies produce just as quality, if not higher quality products, as Nike or Adidas.

Back in HS, I didn't run, but I had a lot of runner friends. Some of the best dudes in the state/region. I don't think I ever saw a pair of Nikes on their feet.

A lot of what makes one shoe better than another is subject to the individuals preferences, foot shape, walking posture, etc. And materials are not always undeniably better than another. There's trade-offs, and in the end, the consumer decides what they prefer.

Introducing the Emerica Square Two.

Available Oct '12, you say? I may be able to blow through my three other pairs of Es Square twos by then

This is exactly what I thought and to me, that's a good thing. I'm loving my square twos so I might just have to get a pair of these. Too bad they dropped fusion, I was backing that shit.

*picture*

I also had this shoe and skated them until absolute death, which I almost never do with shoes cause... I like getting new ones. I also bought another pair right after but forgot them in my backyard outside in the snow for 2 weeks when I went on vacation. They still feel ok though, im gonna try to skate them anyway.

Anyway, anyone who is doubting the quality of huf shoes should try a pair out, theyre really really good.

The pack consists of an era, and an old skool. Both are black perforated suede.

Often times simple things work the best, like one piece toe caps on skate shoes. Be it simple, it works. Simple doesn't mean easy though.

Nike's are very durable skate shoes, but that doesn't mean Huf's aren't. Skate shoes cost very little to make, most of you're paying for is product design and marketing. Huf most likely spends a lot less money (relative to their respective spending) on marketing then Nike does.

In my experience, a lot of smaller companies make much better products that very large ones. Most of you know the boards I ride so I won't bring that up any further... but another example would be buying local produce versus stuff from Dole or whatever at the super market. Because the person selling you the goods is closer to the actual product, you get more love for the product, and dedication towards making a good product.

I'm sure Keith designed a lot of the shoes himself has put a lot of work into the footwear program.

I'm getting the vibe though, that you just don't like how they look, which is fine, but don't go around saying that they're not going to good, especially considering it's a skater owned and run operation, some thing that's going extinct.

Rippedlaces was talking about it awhile ago. Notice how the newer colorways of the Hsu 2s aren't fusion anymore and how they never released the fusion Westgates and Reynold Crusiers
