Emerica dropped their fusion technology program about 6 months ago. Although they never made it publicly know, it was because of some bad blood and copyright debate within their factory that produced the fusion mold in China.

I mentioned this in an article I wrote not too long ago but I forget. Feel free to go for a read at the site if you're further interested.

yeah i dig the fact that fallen has brought back a cupsole on a lot of the models. i'd be down to try these or the tom asta 76's which had a good review on rippedlaces. currently skating the circa maxson which are the bomb so i want a low top, cup sole shoe similar to what i am skating right now.

Skated both the rambler' and Asta 76. I prefer the Asta 76 more.

They hold up longer, and has more flex to it. Breaks in real fast.

aesthetic stitching =/= two-piece toecap

but I can understand if you don't like the stitching

And aren't these like the cieros in the sense that they're not part of Adidas' skate line of shoes?

Damn, I want a pair of those Brophys! Never thought i'd say that about DVS.

I never even seen them in a skate shop, or even online.

DVS is lame now, got rid of most of their good riders.

I think Hoyle and Cao are gone too?

Horrible move dropping Hoyle. Whatever, it's DVS's loss, i'm sure he'll land somewhere good. Too good not to.

Dude, DVS is horrible straight-up. Their shoes look cheap and bland as far as designs go, and even though I support the riders still on, letting Hoyle go and having certain dudes still on flow(Russ Milligan) confuses the shit outa me.

I myself love HUF shoes, i have been skating them for the past couple of months and they are awesome. they skate better, feel better and last longer than any pair of nikes ive ever owned. It makes it even better that it is a true skater owned company, it is true that nike has all the money to blow on crazy new materials but sometimes the simplest things can be the best. Fuck your composite hightop carbon nikes and go support skateboarding and the people who are actually involved in it.

Atleast Huf is skater owned.

At very least.

I think they're dope.

What does that have to do withe the quality of the products?

If anything, a smaller skater owned company is going to have inferior materials because they lack the funding necessary to construct the goodies.

but from what everyone's been sayin that isnt really the case now is it?  or maybe everyone is just riding suave keith's dick.

this.
Or maybe they're good shoes. Like I said, have you skated them?

they are basic ass shoes, for basic ass people, i dont need to skate them to know they are decent at best. There is no way some tiny company like huf can have anywhere near as durable shoes as nike. you guys sure seem to be buying into the hype though

Ive been skating HUF for the past couple of months and they in my opinion are more comfy, more durable, and skate better than any nike i have ever owned or skated. Nike may have tons of money to blow on crazy materials but sometimes the simple stuff works better. Nike makes so many shoes they cant check for quality on every single pair, HUF has that option as a smaller company. So i say keep your crazier materials that half the time dont do shit and ill keep supporting a rad skater owned and operated company!

Often times simple things work the best, like one piece toe caps on skate shoes. Be it simple, it works. Simple doesn't mean easy though.

Nike's are very durable skate shoes, but that doesn't mean Huf's aren't. Skate shoes cost very little to make, most of you're paying for is product design and marketing. Huf most likely spends a lot less money (relative to their respective spending) on marketing then Nike does.

In my experience, a lot of smaller companies make much better products that very large ones. Most of you know the boards I ride so I won't bring that up any further... but another example would be buying local produce versus stuff from Dole or whatever at the super market. Because the person selling you the goods is closer to the actual product, you get more love for the product, and dedication towards making a good product.

I'm sure Keith designed a lot of the shoes himself has put a lot of work into the footwear program.

I'm getting the vibe though, that you just don't like how they look, which is fine, but don't go around saying that they're not going to good, especially considering it's a skater owned and run operation, some thing that's going extinct.

I'm currently skating the Huf Hupper and I agree with most of what you say but I can't agree with the fact that they last longer. My sole is about to blow and I haven't skated 10 sessions yet. I heard they improved they vulc sole, maybe my colorway is from and old season but I was a bit disappointed by the the sole. However the suede is totally on point and holding really well, as well as the stiching. I would buy again if i find them for cheap.
