I've been wanting to play Pokemon so bad lately. I know exactly where my Pokemon Gold is but I can't find my Game Boy anywhere. I'm thinking of going and picking up a cheap Game Boy Advance from a Gamestop just to play it again. I haven't played in years though, so I hope my saved game is alright. I remember that I had such a badass team.

I know this is old but I have been playing Gold on the free GBC emulator i got for my android phone.  so good.

This thread got be thinking about Pokemon again so I downloaded a GameBoy Advance emulator so I can start playing Pokemon. I'm playing Sapphire right now. I'm gonna try to make it to the Pokemon league since I haven't gotten that far since I was like 11.

I love when people post in this thread. Still working on HeartGold. I've got 11 badges now, killin' it with a Dragonite that I trained from Lvl. 7 Dratini. These are the things I take dumb amounts of pride in.

gameboy cartridges have a battery in them that runs 24/7 its used to keep the cart on so it can store save games in its memory.  apparently this battery has a life span of approximately 15 years. that means that in a year or so the battery in our red and blue carts will die and with it our save games we worked so hard on will disappear. one year pokemon fans.

If you got really early Gold/Silver releases, they had a defective battery that only lasted a couple of years...guess how I found that one out?

pokemon fucking rules! i've had to have spent hundreds of hours during my childhood playing these games. i think the last one i played was diamond via pc emulator on my old laptop and i was on that bitch 6+ hours a day for about a week. didnt get to beat the game but mann did that shit feel nostalgic

if you jailbreak your ipod or iphone you can download a gameboy emulator then any gameboy game

Damn! I was at the Pokemon league on Fire Red but my computer messed up and the emulator disappeared. I had to train my Pokemon a lot anyway because my shit didn't stack up to the Pokemon league trainers. This is a little off subject but it's annoying as shit when you're about to beat a gym leader or something, they got that last bit of health left and then the asshole uses a full restore or a potion. I can't stand that shit especially when it happens several times. I've spent plenty of times playing Pokemon with my hands sweating over shit like this. Anyway I'm gonna go to Emulator Zone and find another Pokemon to play.

hahaha yes! niggas always use that shit on that ONE pokemon with some strong ass attack that wipes out half your party. just when you think you bout to get his ass that they get that shit back up to full health while your best pokemon is in the yellow w/ no more potions left. sometimes you gotta pull that underdog win and get your weakest pokemon to get finish em off. i did that to RED with his charizard i had that thing in the red but he took my feraligator the turn afterwards. i threw in a level 14 farfetched (sp?) and hit that nigga with Cut and it took him out! first time id ever seen a pokemon advance more than 5 levels after one battle lol
