I have a growing collection of decks that I want to put up on some empty wall space in my home office, and though I have a couple of ideas, I'm sure there are better (less ugly) ways. I'd kind of like to put them up without the aid of a shelf, as I'd like the boards to be seen in their entirety, and even better, a way that would work with the decks either horizontal or verticle, depending on the graphics. Thanks in advance to any of you with pics (of your wall mounted decks) or advice.

thats the best way to do it, you can also adjust it to be leveled with all the other decks...

nail a 2x4 horizontally across your wall, stick a piece of longer hardware through the top 2 holes of the board, hang it off the 2x4 and admire your deck collection

I also have a bunch of stuff, vintage, used, new.

I found that hanging too many decks takes attention away from the individual items, even the great ones. I have changed my walls from a "skateshop/vanity colletction" kind of display to a rotating "gallery". Every once in a while I realize that I am tired of looking at one of the six or seven decks hanging around my house, go to the basement and dig through until I'm psyched on something I haven't seen in over a year.

i hate the fucking profile of having a deck on the all.. it looks shitty....i'm gonna just make a frame with no backing, I suspect it's pretty easy to do....

the series on the left is held up  by a 2x4 that's screwed into the wall.

With the blind Lotti on the right, I just nailed it stright into the wall.

the nail and fishing line trick always works for single decks.

I appreciate the advice everybody... and thanks, 101... that's just the look I was hoping to achieve. I didn't really want too much of the mounting hardware to be visible. That's perfect.

If you do the fishing line trick and don't want the nail to stick above the nose use the mounting holes closer to the middle of the board and it will offer extra room.
