Holy shit that made my hair tingle. That staple job looks so nuts. I can already hear the mom's saying "see, you should have worn a helmet".
Props to anyone that bombs hills. Shit always looks dope on video and I know it's scary as shit.

I don't think i've ever seen mike mo skate a demo.
And if you're not used to something what's the point of skating it. no one said anything when those other dudes didn't get tricks on those stairs. and i'd be willing to bet money no one got a good ledge line at 3rd and army and no one is going to say anything about that.
this is mike mo skating a demo

There is more Bieber coverage on Slap than one would expect from a bunch of manboys arguing the minutiae of rollerboard stunts. Actually now that I type that it kinda makes sense.

John Fitzgerald fucking rips. That's a man's fucking skater right there. He killed the flowershop too. I've skated that shit, and the shit he was doing was gnar as fuck. pretty much getting anything filmworthy is damn near impossible there. Even getting taken out, its going to be hard for any of them to leave a better impression on me skatewise. Still hyped on mango. Can't believe 2 dudes exist in the world like COTG.

At first I thought Forrest was joking, but not skating the transition was disappointing. He looked like he didn't even want to get over the fence to look at it.

I'd be willing to bet money you grew up with a skatepark. I don't think you guys realize skateparks everywhere are fairly new. There are a shitload of kids that started skating before the last 5 years who probably never skated/ are just getting into within the last 2 years. and honestly it doesn't matter to a lot of kids. if you asked a kid who's skills would you rather have mike mo's or tony t's, i'd bet money that the overwhelming majority would choose mike mo.

Ledges can be fun, but also the most boring thing ever. Skating some fun transition, or skating hills for a day is WAY better then any noseslide trick you can do.

"shit got real when whiteley just stood motionless watching john go straight for that curb at 30+ miles an hour.
there's no way that could have ended well."
-- if you watch, i move over a little while he's coming down that last stretch as i was hoping he might still try to make the turn and i wanted to catch him if he was gonna hit the car. i had no idea what was going to happen at that point. it didn't end well in terms of his scalp, but it ended very well in terms of john being extremely gnarly.
"Omar Hassan seems like fucking good guy."
-- having never really hung out with him much before, i was surprised at how cool he was. he says some great stuff in the next episode, too.
"i'd be willing to bet money no one got a good ledge line at 3rd and army and no one is going to say anything about that."
--i'm sure our definitions will be different on what makes for a "good" ledge line, but mango got a rad one, and some others got lines as well- including forrest...
"That's some medieval looking shit...
obviously he's out of the game
, but he gets a life gnar for risking his shit like that. Dude's made of gnar. Shit, with a gash like that I'm stoked he's alive!"
-- don't be so sure!
"will we get to see the slam unedited?"
-- bright and early monday morning!
"most people that skate realize most of the people that skate transition are over the age 30."
-- sorry to make an old guy reference, but have you ever seen the first plan b video? there's a miniramp section in the middle of it that was the peak of technical tranny skating at the time, maybe you can appreciate that. i don't think any of those guys could have been over 21 at that point, probably more like 18.

Does skating a bank/slope count as transition skating?

i really don't understand why are people ripping forest to shit for not skating the tranny. the first episode at the gap not everyone skated it...like Mango. no one said "oh wow what a bitch he didn't skate the gap". no one cared. i don't see how this should be any different. such a double standard around here. it's okay to hate but you need to apply all hate evenly and fairly.
