he may be a little too harsh on some people's ideas of skating but he brings up many valid points

While I only skimmed over
some
of the postings and I realize it's already a pretty old thread, I'm going to say my piece anyway.
I also realize I might start a flame war, but I don't really care because I probably won't even read anyones responses.
That being said, and for what it's worth, I have personally known Bobby for 20 years. Though, I choose not to reveal my identity, I will share some brief thoughts on him:
Bobby has always been a bit quirky. He has always held deep-rooted beliefs that were a bit "out there."
However, one key difference I see in contemporary Bobby vs yesterdays Bobby, is that he has largely lost his sense of humor (he used to be very funny & witty) and his ability (or desire) to have amicable interactions with people. He has pushed away most everyone, including a lot of his lifelong friends, family, the skateboard community - even society. Ironically, Bobby has essentially crafted his own hermitic reality within the most populous city in North America.
What I see is a man who is desperately trying to cling onto what he envisions to be his ideal world. Anything or anyone, that doesn't work toward this, is against it. Which, of course, puts Bobby against the world and explains his extremely bitter and paranoid demeanor (i.e. 9/11 conspiracy type of stuff).
On one hand, even though he is utterly rude to everyone, including the people who have always had his back, in an odd way, I still sort of respect him for his inflexible integrity, and continue to enjoy whatever documentation of him exists.
On the other hand, I feel incredibly sad that he resembles a lonely insane person more and more, and I don't see him
ever
changing. Especially since he is now almost 40.
Take it for what it is.

I am a filmer and when other filmers see some spots they are unfamiliar in my videos and ask me where they are I basically tell them to fuck off. That shit is wack...
You, douchebag, are a part of what is wrong with skateboarding.
Go film a volleyball game.

Well I agree with him. So many kids dont have the imagination or even the will to go and find something themselves.
Fuck them.

The unwritten rule among skaters is that you share cool spots, that he is just a filmer that won't share a spot with other filmers makes it all the more pathetic.

The Indians shared their spots with the pilgrims and that seemed to turn out pretty alright.

But there is a difference between sharing a spot with friends, and sharing a spot with every one upping fuck out there.

I don't know, there is a brotherhood of skateboarder around the world he see the world like no one else and appreciate it in the same way.
I always hook a brother up whether he is local or from half way around the world.
The scumbag I was posting wasn't even talking about that, he is a filmer vibing other filmers.
Fuck that even more.

Bobby doesn't approve of pulling back the tree to make the trick.
That is just real pussy shit you would except from a J. Gillette Crocker crew member, or whatever!
