yea, when you trim them down, take the time to do them precisely, its worth it. and i couldnt really fit the insoles in a narrower shoe (janoski's) so i had to put them in my blazers

just got my pair the other day, havent had a serious skate in them yet, if weather is good ill get a few hour sesh in on the weekend and give a skate feedback.
as for the sizing, its pretty fucked. I usually skate 10.5/10. With their sizing chart size 10 works for 10/10.5, but this shit is fucking huge. It would def not fit into any of my 10.5 pairs of shoes without a serious trim (the heel part is fucking wide as shit, not just the toe section, so I don't even think you can trim that). Luckily I have a pair of size 11 tpuds which are nice and wide so it fits good there.
First impression is that they are really comfortable, but skating in them feels pretty weird, will take some getting used to. Its like your heel is on a pillow and theres a rubber ball under your arc... Only complaint so far is that I think my right foot didnt form properly... On my left foot the gel support goes smoothly almost all the way to the balls of my feet, its like a nice mellow transition and feels really comfortable... But on my right foot its just like a giant ball under my heel and halfway on my arc... then it kinda just stops... I walked aorund in them for 5 minutes each side just to make sure they molded properly and soften them up and shit... maybe its just me, still feels good for walking but my left seems more comfortable than my right.

I got mine this past weekend and have been wearing them walking around, skating, and at the gym.
I'm not 100% sold on them yet but they are better than stock DC and 'eS insoles. I thought one of my feet didn't form correctly but it may just be that my feet are shaped a little differently or I tend to put more weight on one foot compared to the other. They feel pretty weird at first, but now my feet are starting to "grip" around where the mold for the arches are.
The sizing seems fine to me but I don't wear narrow, thin vulc shoes. I've used them in cupsole skateshoes that are the same size as the insoles I bought and they fit fine. They also fit fine in my running shoes which are half a size smaller.
I need to wear them more to form a solid opinion.
So far my minor gripes are:
1. The little rubber patch on the bottom that's held with the blue tape flops around and can curl under when you put them in your shoes. They need to figure out a better way to hold the thing in place besides the blue tape on there.
2. They're expensive and switching them to different shoes is a PITA as is letting them dry out after skating or working out. I may just have to get a second pair eventually. FP should look into some sort of discount program for people that buy more than one pair.

you're supposed to take that all off after it has 24 hours to cure.
Mine are real good. They felt really intense for the first day but now they feel good and skating in them is also starting to make sense. I've been noticing that my knees don't hurt as much at the end of the day as well. Definitely worth trying.

Why didn't they put that in the instructions then? Where did you see that? Just curious.

I forget where I saw it but i think I saw somewhere that you remove the tape and cover thing after its cured. But either way all it seems to do is keep it from seeping out of the bottom. I've skated them twice for 4 hours straight each time with that part taken off and worn them all day for about 3 days and they feel and look fine.

I haven't tried them yet.. but Nick DomP was recovering from a massive heel bruise. So i gave him my pair of these insoles.
He formed them to his feet... and walked in them for 2 weeks. He said that the arch was pretty wild... but felt ok after a few days.
After about the second week.. they turned into rocks. He brought them over to my house.. and the resin or whatever was in there
was seriously rock hard. He had to take them out and run regular insoles.
So im not sure if that was normal or a bad run... but thats the only first hand experience i've had so far.

I got my pair a couple of weeks ago. Started skating in them, and I actually started to lose a lot of flatground tricks, so I just quit using them. They were comfortable tho..

That's weird, mine are still pretty soft. I'd recommend giving them a try. It feels weird the first time you skate in them but every time since then it feels real good.

Mine is soft too, but i can feel the front of the insole flatten out. Since i had it and walked/skated for a while. Probably time for a new pair soon.

Wait..seriously. it's almost time for a new pair. Didn't you just get them like a month ago? That would seriously be crummy if you need to buy a new pair ever month or two...especially at the cost.

I've had mine for three weeks. The arch support feels damn good. Though my ball of the foot is somehow pretty pointy and it seriously made the insole paper thin in this time. But so it does to regular insoles as well. But these were a little bit more expensive than regular ones...
Other than this, I'm backing the product. The arch support feels funny for the first day and then you get used to it. I hope they'd make a version that would be a little bit thicker under the toes and ball of the foot.
Or instead of vulc shoes I should go by cup soles...

I got a pair yesterday. Molded them and have skated them twice. It feels a little weird at first, but after a while I have gotten used to it. Skating is a little weird still. I definitely do not have as good a board control yet, but that might just be something to get used to. They are also way to wide. I don't know if they need to make a thinner version and keep the wide version, but saying on the packaging "Hey btw, I know you just spent $50 on these things, but yea......we may have forgotten to mention they might be too wide for your shoes" is not making me love them. All in all, they are ok, but I don't think I will spend money on them again.

It will probably last one more month or so (it varies by skater), i don't think the heel will ever flatten out.

Want to try a pair out, but my feet sweat/smell so bad I don't think I'd want to rock them for more than a month if I were skating in them.

I'm wondering exactly when you know its time to replace them?
As nice as they feel I can't see myself ordering these things multiple times a year... Too much money. Hopefully they wear down like tate said and the transition back to normal insoles will be easy.

I emailed Footprint...they said it was okay to throw out the rubber patches and tape after the insoles have set.
Much easier to take in and out of shoes now without those things flapping around.

Not Footprints, but I have a pair of Remind insoles (not the slim ones) that I used for snowboarding because I was getting a lot of heel lift, arch and toe pain. Though I loved them snowboarding, I tried skating them the other day and was hating life. The Busenitz insole is pretty good, the only thing it lacks is a firm arch support. I found that while the Remind insole had a stronger arch support, it did not hug the rest of my foot the same way the Busenitz one does.

Remind also makes a injection insole.. i wonder how this one works
http://remindinsole309.corecommerce.com/Custom-Injection/
i got the footprint one, and so far its been good.. i noticed the biggest difference not only form skating, but after standing all day at work (i work retail). like every one else said, its got a gnarly arch.. but i have a real high arch so it took a little while to get used to.. skating wise, i use my board to cruise around a lot and my sessions are on average 1-2 hours.. the soreness/aching i got around my arches has declined.. i've been wearing footprints for about a week now

Alright I've had these for about a month now, skating a few times a week for like 1-4 hour sessions. At first they felt fucking sick, super comfortable for walking and for skating, and the thickness of the heel had no impact on board control at all, so i was stoked on these.
But now its kinda fucked. I'm regular, and my left foot has been hurting like shit after skating in these things for any longer then like 45mins-1hour. I get a sore pain in my arc after stomping tricks or just by setting up my feet. I tried taking out the bottom taped on thing to see how it goes but it got even worse. I thought it was just cause I got bad posture and figured that its a good sign and I should deal with it until I fix my shit. But its been like 2 weeks now and this shit is really starting to bother me. My right foot feels perfectly normal and is feeling really good with the insoles on, but the left foot is feeling like shit if i skate in these things for more than like 45 mins (im talking about flatground or flat ledges not 20 stairs). Anyone else getting like a dull pain in their arc after skating in these things?
