I wonder how well these actually work, I might be down to pay the fifty bucks for em if I had a review of them from Tate or someone like that

Kinda wierd that they dont have more precise sizings. Like I need 10.5 and they have only 10/11. Seems like this shit would have to fit perfectly to work properly?

Yeah maybe trim to fit. Sizing isn't consistent between different shoe companies anyways.

saw these guys at crossroads having some people check em out. Honestly seem like they work pretty well. They mold to your feet perfectly and if all us old fucks are gonna keep up with the young kids now a days...this could help....

so how exactly does this improve the feeling in your shoes? all I can deduct from the video is that you foot is more anchored. what about impact absorption? wouldn't it be perfectly possible that a part of that sole would settle with greatly reduced thickness and offer insufficient cushioning?

skate shoes provide absolutely no support for the arch. they're flat, and jumping down things, pushing, whatever you do with a skateboard, will bang your feet the fuck up with the quickness if you're skating over a decade.

orthotics can be something like a Dr Scholls insert, or something more, like a custom mold made by a podiatrist that will run around 3 bills.

it's not so much the padding that is lacking, but once the strength of the arch, or the muscles controlling the flex of your toes, starts wearing down, your feet are fucked.

i'm going through this right now. tore some muscles in the bottom of my foot months ago and am waiting on workers comp approval of custom orthotics. i cannot wait because otherwise, i can't wear skate shoes at all without limping around like the quasi modo

If you want a strong arch, don't support that shit. Wear flat shoes. Your feet aren't designed to be coddled, they're designed to disperse impact across the three main points (the balls and the heel). Your arch needs to be strong so that your foot will take impact the way it's supposed to - it's not designed to take impact on the arch. Arch support for 90+% of people is a load of crap. A lot of foot pain people have is because their arch isn't strong enough because they've supported it too much and their foot doesn't handle impacts well as a consequence. I used to think that arch support would solve my foot problems (just sore feet all the time from skating and having a job where I'm on my feet all day) but I've found exactly the opposite to be true. Just wanted to throw my two cents in

^ yeah, i thought you want your arch to be active.

i can't imagine those rigid orthopedics being good to skate in, but maybe these are more flexible.

Seems like they have to be replaced quite frequently. It says 7$ per shoe, at a price of 49.99... using some high level mathematics that comes out to 7 shoes, and thats probably 7 pro skater shoe rotations, meaning not down to the point where ur foot is bleeding from wearing down the fabric, so like what around 5 real person pairs?

So if u skate alot this shit will last like, a few months then u gotta shell out another 50$ for a new insole? shit skate is already expensive enough having to buy new shoes/boards all the time. That and the growing community of people saying how ur not supposed to have so much support for ur feet (google vibram 5 fingers, all hippy faggots jizzing over the benefits). I think this is probably not worth it. Until a worthy slap guinea pig tries this out and provides a positive review, i'll hold onto my 50$
