Indy 139s and medium bones bushings. Perfect! A set lasts about a year before they start to muffin out over the cores. I only keep the top washer in. They're brilliant! I've tried leaving in the stock Indy bushings, tried to break them in to see if they'll work better, but they just don't compare. They can't beat the responsiveness and the rebound of Bones!
And Doh-doh's are shit. Blek!

I rode Thunder 149ers since they came out until this spring. Was 100 % sure that was MY truck.
But tried out 149 Indys with Bones medium when the shop didnt have any more Thunder.
The turning is so much better and without the wheelbite I got constantly with Thunder even though my trucks are probably looser now.
I can actually gain speed from just turning, slalom style cruising. So fun.

Indy 139s and medium bones bushings.
this combination alone warrants a whole new level of appreciation... maybe one of those little onvideo documentary clips, or something.

Stock bushings. The orangeish ones, never tried the red.
Bones bushings are good but I love the feeling of 139 standards with the orange Indy bushings, no need to fuck with awesome.
Oh, got a new set recently and they were broken in after a day, doesn't take as long as it use to. Couple buddie got new Indy's recently and all say the same.

I always thought having a preferred bushing was some hipster shit until my thunder bushings disintegrated.

Are Indy's stock bushings that shitty? I know that buying bushings and putting them in isn't overly expensive or time consuming.. but doing all that then
breaking them in
, only to have slightly better feel, seems weird.
NO break in with Bones Bushings..put em in and you're good to go.

Last set I had just wore out. Just put on some new ones I bought awhile back that have been sitting around. I'm never going back. Indy 149s with medium bones = best turn ever

Been switching back and forth between 149s and 169s for a long time and I just found out that indy is making 159s again. I'm excited about it. And I like the bones bushings too. They feel good right away and usually take 6 months or so to get weird.

I thought about this the other day, and I wrote something down on a piece of paper but I can't remember where I put it or what it said.

Where can someone go for info on trucks and bushings? I ride indys but have no idea what kind they are, and stock bushings but they are cracked or I dunno the terms but they are a couple years old and the bushings are all broken up. My board skates fine but I guess I could be missing out on something better.

you can measure the width and height of the axel to work out the trucks "name" and as far as bushings go just wap in some bones yellow bushings and you'll feel a world of difference

I just recently went back to indys and put my bones bushing in them. They turn so much better than my old thunders!

i've always said the same thing, the new Fury trucks come with indy colored orange bones bushings, but you have to buy their shit trucks which is a bad idea.

I'm bringing this thread back, I've had my indy's for a month or two and had thunders before that, didn't feel too much difference to be quite honest, after reading this thread I'm thinking I should get some medium bones bushings? Is it worth the ten bucks plus shipping? (my local shop doesn't sell them.)

159 indys with the soft bushings is the best thing ever. and yes its a FUCKIN HUGE DIFFERENCE. independent bushings suck dick. couldnt skate my board for a week until i got bones. i swear you cant skate without them once you use them. ONCE YOU GO BONES YOU NEVER GO BACK YO!

I ended up getting hard black bones to go with my 139 indys. Should I leave the bottom washer on?
